This was my "fast run" ;) I definitely felt faster without the jogging stroller.

Weigh-In and Workout!

Hey girls!
So, I weighed in yesterday, and lost another pound last week! Woot! That's twenty-three pounds down, and seventeen to go! And I think I'm going to hit my first goal of 135 before vacation! (ihopeihopeihope) Yay, my swimsuits will fit!! (ihopeihopeihope)
AND, I worked out today! Well, it wasn't a huge workout, but it was good exercise, especially considering my stupid toe. I went for a half hour walk with my sister! So, no more excuses! I'm getting back on that horse this week!! (and I'm at the end of my girlie time that I started last week (so mystery of why I felt so icky-solved), too, so that helps. A LOT)

Tuesday Trail Running 50 minutes

It was an unexpected surprise to be able to trail run during the week since Big E was sick today. I got to put S down for a nap and then go running! I explored more single file trail over by the watershed nature center. I had to run on the paved part (where I usually push the jogging stroller) for a little while, but I mostly stuck to the dirt trails. I sprinted for this one part of it because I kept hearing the patter patter of ticks falling from the trees. I was trying to run away from that area as fast as possible. I guess the bugs have woken up for the year ;)

Also- went shopping for 1 hour, vacuumed for 15 minutes, and continued to organize closets and drawers for another hour.

Monday Running 1 hour (while pushing the jogging stroller)

I cleaned for 3-4 hours yesterday too. I usually don't do that on Sundays, but my house was way behind schedule for a good cleaning/spring organizing. I could not do it Saturday because of the cub scout pinewood derby. I will be doing laundry all day today too.

Saturday Trail Running 1 hour

Muddy! I meandered a lot trying to miss the really muddy areas and to avoid the part of the trail that goes right next to the ravine. I didn't fancy a slip n slide down the ravine today ;)

Also, I picked up cups and stacked them back up again while kids threw baseballs at them for 30 minutes. It was definitely hard work because I was sweating at the end of the "carnival" time for the pinewood derby cub scout races!

Note- the mexican serape blanket over the canopy kept S dry in the jogging stroller, but she needs to wear boots to keep her feet dry next time. Her feet were the only thing that was really wet at the end of the run.

Tuesday Running 30 minutes (2 1/2 miles with 3 BIG hills)

I miss those hills by Renae's house. They were kinder gentler hills than the ones by my house. I may have to drive out there just to run hills sometimes. I had not ran hills in FOREVER, so it was about time.

I did Jillian Ripped in 30 week 3, just to keep it different, plus I didn't have the time for the kettlebell routine today. Jillian is shorter, but more intense. I think I might check out her kettlebell routine.

Weighing In

I lost another pound last week!! This is awesome. I love the gratification of seeing that needle go down after all the hard work. YES!!
The toe is doing much better. I'm going to do the bike this week, and see how it goes. Maybe today even! *gasp!*

Saturday Trail Running 50 minutes

More flowers blooming! I took yesterday off exercise because my stomach was still doing "funny" things (and I am so laughing let me tell you!). I did clean my super yucky basement for over an hour last night though to make way for our new washing machine coming this morning. Thank goodness! I will be doing laundry for a week straight now ;)

Also- shop vac'd the basement for an hour. The old washer seemed to have peed itself as a fond farewell ;)

Thursday: I did Kettle Bell Boot Camp, the whole thing. I'm not nearly as sore this time, or maybe it hasn't set in yet? Too bad, I like it when I'm sore. I know I worked hard.

Thursday Running 40 minutes (while pushing the jogging stroller)

I had a stomach bug for TWO DAYS. What the heck? Anyway, I had to take 2 days off exercise and Big E even had to take a day off work. I am sick of being sick! No more until next winter!

I did a short run to get back into the swing of things. We ran on the watershed trail and it is so pretty already. So many flowers blooming and so many plants budding up!

Also- cleaned house for an hour. Ever notice how quickly your house turns into a hobo camp while you are sick?

Still Here!

Hey ladies! Just checking in. I do read your posts almost everyday, and I think you girls are AWESOME. Seriously.
I am just feeling very unmotivated to post or comment! I dunno what the heck my deal is. I'll do better.
So, last week I lost two pounds. Woot! I am now sub 145! Go me! It's weird, last week I didn't do so well on the diet and I lost, but the week before I did extremely well and lost nothing. This is driving me crazy! It almost doesn't matter what I do! I mean, I know I can't just eat everything in sight, but ugh. You know? I'm losing weight so weird this time around. 4lbs one week, 3lb gain the next, then nothing, then losing a bunch. Frustrating.
My toe is doing much better. I can almost walk normal on it now, albeit very slowly. I'm going to try to start doing my bike next week. Not up to the elliptical yet, but I think I can handle the pressure of a bike. It will be 5 weeks since I broke it on Saturday, and I am definitely healing slower than I used to. I will be glad to get back into exercising and give myself a losing weight edge!! (And I guess the heart health stuff is important too. A little.)

Okay, Okay, I'm Going to Report

So I've been doing my running, and my Jillian, and I've been doing 13 miles every Saturday. It's crazy, but I'm really liking my long slow Saturday runs. I don't try to run fast - at all. It's just a leisurely run with my running pals. I don't know why, but I really like those insanely long runs. The crazy thing is that a LOT of them are doing 20 miles and even more on Saturdays. I do NOT feel the need to do this. 13 is plenty!

Today I tried my new DVD with my new kettlebell. It is called Kettlebell Boot Camp with Angie Miller. I bought it because 1) It had good reviews. 2) It was only $10. The problem is that it just takes way longer to do than I am wanting to commit to on my DVD weight days. It's good, but I just don't have that much time. There are 10 sections including the warm up and stretching at the end. I made it through 6.5 of the sections, then I quit, not because I couldn't do any more, but I just have other things to do. I'm not sure if you are meant to do all eight sets every time you do this work out. It doesn't tell you anything about it either way. I think I'm going to have to find another one. The good news is that I think Jillian has done me some good. I'm beginning to feel like I can actually do most of Week 4 of Ripped in 30. I feel stronger. My weight hasn't changed in a month, but I've lost half an inch off each thigh and half an inch off an arm. Could be that I'm just using the measuring tape weird though. My clothes don't feel any different. I totally quit the diet for a week or two or three. I think I'm ready to give it another shot, although really I feel pretty good about how I look even at 154. I guess it's time to pull out those jeans from last year for a reality check. It's depressing to put them on. I have about 4 pair that I just don't wear anymore because they are too tight. They were fine about a year ago. I'm sick in the head. I know I am. My real problem: Why the heck do I feel the need to look like Skeletor? It's ridiculous.

I felt really not good today with the flu still kicking me around, so Big E skipped his class. I have not done a night run in forever! I forget how fun they can be. A strarry sky and brisk temperatues made it extra fun ;)

Also- once again tried to fix my broken washing machine (for an hour this time). I think she's dead.
