Sell I don't remember when I posted last, so I'll just give you the run down of my last week or something like that. I have never been so ready for the stupid Triathlon to just freaking get here. Usually I feel like "Oh crap! It's just around the corner, and I'm not as ready as I wanted to be!" This year it is more like "Come on already, I'm sick of this training like CRAZY!" I set myself a hard P.R. to break last year, having knocked THREE MINUTES off of my previous P.R. My goal is to set another P.R., but it will be tough. I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to win my division this year, but we'll see. I'm in one of the toughest age divisions there is. It's possible, but certainly no guarantee. Heck, I may not even place. I'm not sure who will win between Bruce and I. It's going to be an all out race. He out swims me - hands down, no comparison. I'm better on the bike, and the run is a pretty good match - although he has beat me the last two runs we've done together, and he's getting faster all the time. I may lose to him. That's fine though.
OKAY, enough jabber about that. Here's what I've been up to:
I don't remember much about last week. lol! I know I worked hard. I did the Tuesday night ride (and apparently accidentally started a family feud lol!) I ran a few times, and biked twice, and swam a few times. We did a brick on Saturday. I also did Jillian and my Kettlebell routine.
So far this week:
Monday: Biked HARD and hilly for 40 minutes, followed by a quick 20 minute swim
Tuesday: Biked with Team Godzilla. I did two Whiteside loops, so that's somewhere around 23ish miles, with two ugly hills and a few rollers. I averaged 18.3 mph (but there was new gravel on a couple of miles worth of roads, so I had to go slower than I normally would have.) The heat was HORRIBLE!!!
Wednesday: I ran 4 miles with Bruce's group. My average speed was about 8:19 minute miles (We then walked one mile for a cool down.) I'm doing a Jillian workout as soon as I get off of the computer, and I plan on swimming this evening.
The plan for the rest of the week is as follows:
Thursday: Run 6 miles with my group.
Friday: Essentially the exact same as today, but swap Jillian for a Kettlebell routine.
Saturday: 15 mile bike, 3 mile run, then swim
