I made it to six laps!! Not consecutively, I still rested a bit in between laps and all, but I still did it! And I got cramps in my legs and right between my shoulder blades. Anyone know how to prevent that? Or fix it after it happens?

Are you stretching before you swim?
Also, in the pool, I do a stretch where I grab the side of the pool with both hands and then lay my feet flat on the side of the pool, however low on the inside you need to go down (in the water) so that you are NOT in pain. Also, you can bend your knees as much as you want. Then, I slowly extend my legs to as straight as feels comfortable and so I feel a good pull behind my legs and across my shoulder blades. I looooooove that stretch after a good swim.
Did I describe that ok?
