Saturday Fun!

John and I went biking on the Katy Trail!  It was so fun.  We biked for 7.4 miles, and I felt really good.  I could've gone longer, but I didn't want to push it too hard my first time.  I wanted to see how I felt the day after, and the answer is, I feel great!  My bum is sore, but that's to be expected.  I'm maybe a little stiff, but otherwise, awesome!  I think it's going to be easier to get to the prerequisite triathlon 12 miles than I thought.

Thursday

I went swimming tonight.  I've lost some ground!  Pretty solid half an hour, just a couple of breaks.  But 1/4 mile in this pool is 18 laps, and I only got 12.  I'm going to have to go more than once a week if I'm going to be ready for the tri in just a few weeks.  I might not make it.  I'm okay with that.  I figure if I don't make it on the day of the race, I'll run it on my own when I'm ready.  Just to prove to myself that I can.  That, and if I don't, all this work for nothing?!  I don't think so!

Wednesday JM Workout 2 (25 minutes) + Swimming (25 minutes)

I decided to cool off with a short swim tonight since I've been insufferably hot the last few days. I also jumped off the diving board for 5 minutes afterwards for some fun.

The Week So Far

Monday I weighed in at about 135, so I didn't gain or lose.  Despite starting my girly time AND getting food poisoning.  Go figure.
Yesterday I did an hour of Zumba. 
Today I was going to go for a bike ride, but it rained, and then John and the kids and I went for a car ride, and then before I knew it, it was time for bed.  (which is to say, now) 
I'm going to get that bike ride in this week though, gosh darn it!

Tuesday Running 3 miles (35 ish minutes)

I forgot to look at my watch, so not sure how long that took actually.

Also- chasing my 3 yr old around the library for 2 hours. Plus, 2 hours deep cleaning my living room. I spent three hours cleaning yesterday too which. That was tiring!

Thursday & Saturday 2 1/2 - 3 miles (slow, both days)

I'm still recovering from having the wisdom tooth pulled, but I feel a little better each day. I'm not sure how slow I ran Thursday with the jogging stroller, but it felt ok. Saturday- today, a little faster, but still feeling like my shoes have weights on them as I run. I hope I feel even better by Monday to start doing strength workouts again.
