Friday JM 30 day shred workout 3 (25 minutes)

With 10 lb free weights. 

It killed me! I took the older kids to a waterpark on Wed. and then installed a light fixture (90 minutes of my arms above my head) on Thursday. I'm 11 weeks pregnant too, and the previous two days are really catching up to me today!

Also- took 3 kids on a major grocery shopping excursion for 1 hour.

With 10 lb free weights. I also did some vigorous vacuuming for 15 minutes afterwards. I may try and go running later tonight. That run on Saturday was pathetic.

Saturday Running 40 minutes (2 1/2 miles) Walking 20 minutes

I was so slow tonight! I wanted to run 3, but I could only pull off 2 1/2 and I was slow to boot! 14 hours of driving yesterday must have taken it out of me.

Vacation workouts- Ran 45 minutes Monday and Wednesday while visiting my sister and her new baby in Virginia. Wednesday was hills, and so much fun!

I only did a short walk today.  10 min or so.  I think I pulled something in my calf on Sunday, and yesterday's awesome workout exacerbated it.  Tomorrow: yoga!  (or the ball anyway, lol!)

Feeling Pretty Good!

Sooooooo, where was I?
Last Friday I did some stuff on my yoga ball.  Man oh man, I forgot how HARD all that was!  I worked up a huge sweat, but I don't know how long I did it for.  It felt like an eternity, but it probably wasn't that long.
Today I did 27 minutes on the machine.  Felt good.  Lots of stupid stuff going on in my life right now, and my therapist wants me to start connecting my workouts with my emotions and stress.  I tried to do that today, and to my surprise, I enjoyed the workout.  Usually, they are torture, but I enjoyed it today, lol!  So there may be something to that. :D

This Week in Torture

When did I post last?  I think it was Monday, and the puny 10 minute work out.  Okay, so on Tuesday we went to the pool and I don't know how long I swam but I did like 7 laps I think.  Maybe it was six or eight.  It was haaaaaaaaard.  Or I guess they're lengths, whatever, I did them.
Nothing on Wednesday.
Thursday we went to the pool again, but I biked there instead of swimming.  2 miles, I think it took me about 1/2 hour.  I.  Was.  Dead.  But I did it. 
Today, nothing because I'm muy sore from Tuesday and yesterday. 
Tomorrow, I'm not sure.  Either the machine, or I got a yoga ball.  I learned a lot to do with a yoga ball when I was in physical therapy shortly after Jonni was born, and I had terrific abs.  (covered in a layer of post pregnancy belly skin...)  It's also good to strengthen your back, and I know other things.  It came with a DVD.  Which I will utilize when I'm a little less...wimpy.

Tuesday Swimming 55 minutes + Wednesday Running 45 minutes (while pushing the jogger)

Tuesday- slow swim, not sure how far I got.

Wednesday- I found a great park nearby with a walking track all the way around it. My two older kids played at the park while I looped them with the 2 year old in the jogger. I was expecting the 2 year old to freak out with all the kids playing, and her in the jogger, but she did really well. This was an experiment today to see if I could find a way to run with all three kids and it worked!

Monday Running 4 miles (50 minutes)

Slow, tired, still not feeling well. It was also muggy and I could not find my running shorts, so I had to wear pants. I'm working on a two day sinus migraine too :P.

Catching Up

Okay, so between vacation and recovering from vacation, I am not caught up on recent posts.  Will read those soon. 
Vacation was good, and I only gained 1-2 pounds.  This last week I lost three, so now I've lost 31 total!  Go me!  I'm now nine pounds from my goal, and four pounds away from pre-medicine weight.  VERY.  EXCITED.
John has lost 30, and he's now at 195, the first time he's been this light since his mission I think.  He is totally jazzed, lol!
Last week I went to the pool with the kids a couple times.  I didn't do laps, but I did spend several hours playing with them.  On Saturday I did the machine for 20 minutes and it kicked my bootie.  Today I did the machine and could only get 10 min.  Not sure what's up, but I'll keep plugging along. 
John is so appreciative of me helping him lose weight that he's now actively helping me to figure out more/better ways to work out.  (other than asking me, have you worked out?)  We worked out a schedule for this week, and he's even working out WITH me one time this week.  I feel really good about this.  The man knows his exercise, so I'm stoked he's really gonna dig into this and help me out.  :D

Saturday Trail Running 1 hour 25 minutes

I actually had a run in with a feisty black snake. It stopped with its tail on the trail, and I threw some dirt clods to make it move along, but it would not move. I decided to try and "sneak past it". I ended up running screaming as it turned back around and looked ready to strike just as I went past. Black snakes are not poisonous, but I still don't want to be bit by one! They are usually more docile though. Yikes!

ETA- Also finished my garden arch and rustic gate in about 2 hours. I am going to be sore tomorrow!

Tuesday Swimming 55 minutes

It took me 53 minutes to get my mile again because my back stroke still feels slllllooooooooowwww. I then did another lap with the kick board and then gave up ;) 

Also- walked around the Science Center for 2 1/2 hours with the kids.

I was watching a friend's dog when it broke free from its harness. It took me 30 minutes to finally catch it. I was running in skechers and jeans,but I'm still totally counting it! 

Also- walked around the zoo with the fam for 4 hours.
