Friday Trail Running 45 minutes

It was muddy and cold, but this run still felt awesome! Shout out to my awesome little sister for watching the kids for me while I was running.

Plus, endless hours of cooking today ;)

Wednesday, December 21, 2011

Wednesday 30 Day Shred Workout 3 (25 minutes)

I did another 2 hours work late last night finishing up our bathroom repair (finished!).

I also cleaned the bathroom for 1 hour today. Home repair/construction is messy :P

I am thoroughly sore!

Tuesday, December 20, 2011

Tuesday Running 3 miles (36-39 minutes)

I forgot to look at my watch when I started. I got somewhere between a 12-13 minute mile (which is good for me considering how much I have been missing runs).

ETA- Plus 1 1/2 hours scraping old caulk off the bath tub. Did I mention my house is turned upside down trying to fix a leaking tub faucet?

Monday, December 19, 2011

Monday Swimming 55 minutes

Breast stroke 10 minutes
freestyle 10 minutes
back stroke 10 minutes
freestyle 5 minutes
back stroke 10 minutes
freestyle 5 minutes
kick board 5 minutes

Plus, 1 hour shopping with kids.

Saturday, December 17, 2011

Saturday

Today was a little too hectic for a more formal workout, but we did a bunch of shopping. So, today I'm calling it a Mall Workout, especially since I'm already sore. So, several hours of high powered walking for today.

Friday Jillian Michaels Workout 3 (25 minutes)

Plus, cleaning 1 hour.
Plus 1 hour shopping with the kids.

Thursday, December 15, 2011

Thursday Trail Running 45 minutes

I think that 2 hours on the floor last night really took it out of me. I am tired today. No barefoot running shoes today, just regular running shoes. I thought it would be too muddy for the Vibrams, so I wore my trail running shoes (with plastic spike things).

Wednesday, December 14, 2011

Wednesday

I did another 20 minutes alternating bike with elliptical. Worked harder again today. I'm definitely getting it back faster this time. So, with my goal to work out three times this week, I'd say I'm doing good! (way to jinx myself two times in a row, lol!) I probably won't get another opportunity to work out until Friday at the earliest though, and more likely Saturday.
The Almighty Liz

Wednesday Running 45 minutes (while pushing the jogging stroller)

In the SUN!!! I figure I got about 3 miles (on the watershed trail) if I go by my usual jogging stroller pace. I also warmed up and cooled down with walking (10 minutes total).

ETA- Plus, two hours of sitting on the floor cleaning out the kid's play room for the pre-Christmas toy purge. My back hurts!

Tuesday

I did another twenty minutes last night, alternating biking and elliptical. Pushed myself slightly harder too. :D

Tuesday Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred (Workout 3)

I finally worked up the courage to move on to workout 3! I think I like it slightly better than workout 2, but maybe not. I will try to do it again later in the week to see.

Monday Swimming 55 minutes

Plus, shopping all day with various amounts of kids ;)

Saturday, December 10, 2011

Getting Back on the Horse....Again....

Okay, so this has been a ridiculously hard year for me. Mental illness, regular old sickness, ect ect ect. So, here we go again. Did a good work out today, 20 minutes of alternating biking and elliptical. Hope to work out three times next week. *fingers crossed, and DETERMINED!*
The Almighty Liz

Friday, December 9, 2011

Friday Exercise Bike 30 minutes

I worked out twice today because I may not get a chance tomorrow.

Friday Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred Workout 2 (25 minutes)

Still feeling crappy from a sinus infection, but hope it clears up soon.

Also- raked leaves for an hour. SUNSHINE!!!

Thursday, December 8, 2011

Thursday Running 35 minutes

I'm guessing about 2 1/2 miles. My shoes were not making my feet happy. Weird numbness and sliding. I will have to try different inserts. I will be trying for a barefoot trail run on Saturday.

Wednesday, December 7, 2011

Wednesday Swimming 50 minutes

10 minutes breast stroke
10 minutes freestyle
10 minutes backstroke
5 minutes freestyle
5 minutes backstroke
5 minutes freestyle
5 minutes kick board

I pooped out toward the end because of this stupid sinus infection :P

Tuesday, December 6, 2011

Tuesday Yoga 30 minutes

Plus, shopping with the kids, 1 hour.

Tuesday Running 30 minutes (2 miles with one BIG hill)

The BIG hill is 1/2 mile total (up and down) so I consider it to be pretty big. I'm hoping to do a ball workout later today too.

I'm trying to do at least one small workout in the morning to get my metabolism warmed up and to feel better. I've been feeling pretty crappy in the mornings due to the cold weather, so hopefully this will help ;)

Monday, December 5, 2011

Monday Pilates (on the exercise ball) 30 minutes

I did the 10 minute Pilates Solution workout. I did abs, upper body, and flexibility. I really like all the workouts on this DVD.

Monday Jillian Michaels 30 day shred workout 2 (25 minutes)

I don't know if I'm going to get anything else done today since I'm trying to get over a cold :p

Friday, December 2, 2011

Thursday, December 1, 2011

Thursday Barefoot Trail Running 45 minutes

In my "barefoot" Vibrams. Up to 45 minutes, woo hoo!

Wednesday, November 30, 2011

Wednesday Exercise Bike 30 minutes + 15 minutes Exercise Ball Pilates (45 minutes total)

With two standing up times (with high tension). I'm trying to add these in for strength and too boost my heart rate (like a sprint).

The exercise ball stuff was mostly just trying out different you tube videos for fun. I ordered another exercise ball DVD from the library to do later this week or next week.

Wednesday Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred Workout 2 (25 minutes)

I tried to do the "take it easy on your knees" modifications.

Tuesday, November 29, 2011

Tuesday Swimming 55 minutes

Bwa ha ha. Worked out twice in one day again. I'm hoping to actually LOSE weight this week.

Tuesday Running 25 minutes (1 1/2 miles with one BIG hill and lots of WIND)

I'm hoping to swim tonight too.

I figured out it was Jillian MIchaels screwing with my knee, not the long run. I will have to skip lunging because I think that was the culprit. I will probably try her again later in the week, but if it keeps happening I will just not do her workouts anymore. Oh well, I guess it's good I tried it out from the library before I went and bought it.

Monday, November 28, 2011

Monday Exercise Bike 30 minutes

I did one minute standing while pedaling with high tension and two 2 minute swatting flies segments too.

Monday Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred 25 minutes (Week 1 workout)

I had to deal with a cranky baby all day, so this will probably be the only workout that I get in today :p

Sunday, November 27, 2011

Saturday Running 30 minutes (2 1/4 mile)

Plus, swimming with the kids for an hour.

Thursday, November 24, 2011

Thursday 30 minutes Exercise Bike 30 minutes Fast Walking 30 minutes Pilates Exercise Ball Workout (90 minutes total)

I was going to skip exercise today, but that 2 mile walk after the T-day feast really got me going!

Wednesday, November 23, 2011

Wednesday Hiking in the woods with kids 1 1/2 hours

That was fun again.

Wednesday Pilates w/ Exercise Ball 35 minutes

I was given an exercise ball, so I found some workouts from my library to do with it. Pretty fun! Exercising on top of the ball was more like play than exercise. I can see why they are so popular. The floor work while squeezing the ball with my leg was not as much fun, mostly because my thighs are still killing me from various other exercises.

Tuesday, November 22, 2011

Tuesday Swimming 50 minutes

Yeah, I worked out twice in one day because I rule baby! Also because this holiday week may not leave as much room for working out.

Also, cleaned the house for about an hour.

Tuesday Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30 (Week 1) 30 minutes

She says it's only 20 minutes, but she is a LIAR!

Anyway, my knee feels better today so I may try to run on Thursday if all goes well.

Monday, November 21, 2011

Monday Exercise Bike 30 minutes + hiking with kids 90 minutes

My knee was bugging me today (probably from the long run on Saturday, ha ha) so I switched to exercise bike. The hiking with the kids in the woods was while holding the 20+ toddler in a sling, so a really good workout despite a kid's pace.

Saturday, November 19, 2011

Saturday Running 1 hour 10 minutes (5-5 1/2 miles)

I'm hoping I got in 5 1/2 miles. I felt really fast without the jogging stroller!

Plus, did 45 consecutive push ups for the exhaustion test at the end of Week 5 of the hundred push ups challenge.

Thursday, November 17, 2011

Thursday Barefoot trail running 40 minutes

Woot! Good run in my Vibrams (barefoot running shoes). The trail I ran on this week and last week is slippery with leaves though. I thought I had sprained my big toe for a few minutes on a hidden tree root, but the pain went away. Whew!

Also- Week 5 Day 3 of the hundred push ups challenge. It took 20 minutes and it was HARD.

Wednesday, November 16, 2011

Wednesday Exercise Bike 30 minutes Swimming 1 hour

I needed to do the exercise bike today because my knee was hurting, but this was the last night I would be able to swim laps.

Plus, I chased Sorsha around the library for over an hour while the older kids did a story time and T-day craft. I love our library ;)

Tuesday, November 15, 2011

Tuesday Kickboxing Bootcamp 45 minutes

I also ended up walking for 1 hour while pushing the double stroller because the baby lost my keys and I had to walk the mile to pick the kids up from school. I'm pooped.

Renae's Update

Since last we met, I did Jillian's week three workout on Friday. It kicked my booty. On Saturday I did just over a 7 mile trail run. I tripped and bruised both my knees. Still a great run. My quads were killing me by the time I was done. Jillian had left me pretty sore from the day before.

Here's for the bad news: I can't work out for 2 weeks! I had the second of four surgeries for my dumb veins. We are going to cram the other two into the rest of the calendar year. In fact I'm going to ask (I've no idea if they will consider it or not) if I can just do the last two at the same time. Otherwise, it looks like I'll be in surgery about the time that I am allowed back to working out every time. That just sucks! So I'm concentrating on my eating habits, which are frankly bad. I'm going to try to buckle down and eat healthy and appropriate portion sizes. Ugh! I hate dieting! I've never been able to stick to one. Wish me luck!

Monday, November 14, 2011

Monday Running 1 hour (with jogging stroller).

Less than 4 miles. I had to turn back because of the freakish winds trying to push me down the hill.

Plus, 1 1/2 hours big shovel and lawn mowing yard work.

ETA- I also did Week 5 Day 2 of hundred push ups challenge.

Saturday, November 12, 2011

Saturday Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred 25 minutes

I did Interval 2 (the next hardest level) but I used 5 lb free weights because I hurt my arm with the 10lb free weights last time. Big E said he has watched me do a lot of workout DVDs but he's not sure he's ever heard me huff and puff that hard before ;)

Also- making a party for my soon to be 8 year old boy all day yesterday and part of today.

Thursday, November 10, 2011

Thursday Barefoot Trail Running 30 minutes

I was wearing my Vibram five fingers today. Good thing because I chose a new trail that was really rough (and a little scary where it was right next to ravines). I had to duck under and climb over many fallen trees/logs. Fun stuff!

Also, started cleaning the house for V's party.

ETA- also did Week 5 Day 1 of the hundred push ups challenge. I took about 15 minutes. The 30 day shred made my arm hurt for about 2 days (but not the very next day, kind of weird). Plus, I did that big shovel yard work too earlier in the week so I got some strength working out in that way too.

Thursday

I ran six miles with the group. It felt fastish. I think it's time for my semi-annual visit to the chiropractor. I'm feeling a bit twisted.

Wednesday, November 9, 2011

Wednesday Swimming 1 hour

10 minutes breast stroke
10 minutes freestyle
10 minutes back stroke
5 minutes freestyle
10 minutes back stroke
5 minutes freestyle
10 minutes kick board

Plus, taking care of a sick cranky baby all day!

Tuesday, November 8, 2011

Tuesday Running 1 hour (4 miles with jogging stroller)

Plus, 30 minutes of big shovel yard work (moving dirt from one side of the yard to another), and heavy duty cleaning (my filthy car mostly).

Renae's Update

Okay, I haven't posted in a week, so here's what I've been up to.

Thursday: I don't remember! Oh yeah, I did a session with Jillian. Still hard.

Friday: Laziness

Saturday: I ran 13 miles. I felt really good the entire time.

Monday: Jillian again. Still hard, but getting better.

Tuesday: Hill route. It was totally hard today! It could be that there were only three of us, and both of the others were men who made me run fast on the flat parts. 7.3 miles of HILL whooping booty.

Monday, November 7, 2011

Monday 30 Day Shred DVD 25 minutes

Interval 1. I used 10 lb free weights for the strength portion instead of 5 lb free weights. It was pretty hard.

I also cleaned the house literally all day.

Saturday, November 5, 2011

Saturday 25 minutes barefoot running (2 miles)

I'm getting faster at barefoot running, so that's nice ;)

Friday, November 4, 2011

Friday Exercise bike + strength 45 minutes (push-ups + standing abs)

30 minutes exercise bike. Almost 15 minutes abs (with 2 minutes of push ups, 50 now!!!)

Also- shopped all day with kids for groceries, party supplies, and for jeans.

Wednesday, November 2, 2011

Wednesday Running 1 hour (while pushing jogging stroller)

I'm assuming I got in 4 miles again. I ran from the other side of the Watershed bike trail (where it connects with Wanda Rd).

Also- played outside with the kids for 1/2 hour.

Tuesday, November 1, 2011

Tuesday Swimming 55 minutes

10 minutes breast stroke
10 minutes freestyle
10 minutes back stroke
5 minute freestyle
10 minutes back stroke
5 minutes freestyle
5 minutes kick board

Plus, walking with the kids for an hour (about 2 miles) while pushing the double stroller.

Plus, 1 hour housework.

Plus, 1 hour yard work.

Gorgeous day! I was a busy bee trying to soak up all the sun ;)

Tuesday

Okay, I am REALLY sore!! After doing Jillian yesterday, I got up this morning and we did the hill route!!!! I am so glad that we are back to doing the hill route!! No one has been doing it for months. Folks were babying injuries, plus one of our hill groupies died, and no one wanted to run the hills for a while. It is great to be back out on the hills, but MAN AM I SORE!! I have never been this sore immediately after a workout. By the time I got home and climbed out of my van, my booty was screaming at me. I truly enjoy being sore like this. I feel like I've really done something. I think Jillian is going to have to take a break for a couple of days. I'm planning on doing the bike tomorrow. That should be fun???

So that's 7+ miles (We did the whole route and everything.) of really, frickin', insane hills.

Monday, October 31, 2011

Monday

I did another session of Jillian Michaels' Ripped in 30. This time I tried week 3 of 4. I've come to the conclusion that while I may be in great cardiovascular shape, my strength training has definitely been lacking. It was hard! I'm thinking that maybe next time I'll just start at week one and see how that is.

Monday Running 1 hour (4 miles while pushing the jogging stroller)

Later I will be walking to a Halloween parade in E-ville with the kids, and then standing for 1 1/2 - 2 hours, and then walking back to our car.

Saturday, October 29, 2011

Saturday Barefoot Running 25 minutes (with one BIG hill)

I ran 1 3/4 miles, so I'm still really slow with the barefoot running shoes. I will have to try to speed things up soon.

ETA- also did Week 5 Day 3 of the hundred push ups challenge.

Finally Posting

I've been feeling like I need a more rounded type of workout. All this running and biking is good, but I need some muscle confusion in there. Also last weekend was a marathon weekend for my running group. I hate those weeks. The week before, no one runs much because they are on their tapper week, and the week after no one runs much either. I haven't felt like even bothering to show up at the running group. So I haven't run much lately.

Here are my last two weeks:

Saturday two weeks ago: This was the last time I ran with the group. I did about 10 or 11 miles running.

Tuesday: I ran the stairs for 40 minutes. I haven't run stairs in a LONG time. I was really sore for the rest of the week.

Friday: I biked on the trainer for 40 minutes, then I ran about 2 miles later in the day with the kids.

Yeah, that week sucked. I was lazy.

This week:

Tuesday: I tried running with Clayton in the stroller. The bad thing was that it was REALLY windy. I usually run around my block 7 or 8 times when I run with the stroller. But it was in the 70s that day (which is hot for me) and pushing that huge stroller directly into the wind, up even that small hill coming into my neighborhood was tough! I only made it around 5 times, and I did not run the entire time, even by a long stretch. That makes about 3.75 miles. Pathetic.

Thursday: I braved the stairs again. And to my surprise after the week of being sore, I really wasn't sore much at all this time.

Friday: I decided to give those video workouts a go, just for something different to do. So after looking for two hours trying to find my weights (so annoying). I gave Jillian Michaels' Ripped in 30 Days a try. (I had checked it out from the library.) It's a four week program, and since I figured that I'm in pretty good shape, I skipped to the last "mother of all workouts" and decided to start there. Well, I am humbled. She kicked my booty. It's a completely different type of workout than I am used to. I think I will try to incorporate more of these type of things into my weekly schedule. Goodness knows I need some weight training going on. Maybe this is the motivation I need to actually do it. And maybe this is what I need to lose that extra 10 that always wants to creep back on me. Now all I need to do is to find my other 5 lb weight and keep my kids from losing them for me.

Saturday: I am meeting my FIL for a try at trail running. This is a totally new thing for me. Terry promises that it will be tough. I'm looking forward to it. Now I need to go and change. I have to leave in 15 minutes to have my booty kicked.

Update: I did a 6 mile trail run with Terry. Good stuff! I will definitely have to do more of that.

Friday Exercise Bike 30 minutes

With three 2 minute "swatting flies" session and one 2 minute sprint.

Thursday, October 27, 2011

Thursday Yoga 1 hour

Plus, the hundred push ups challenge Week 5 Day 2 (took about 20 minutes).

Wednesday, October 26, 2011

Wednesday Exercise Bike + Abs 45 minutes

Exercise bike - 30 minutes
Abs- 15 minutes

I've been neglecting my abs because of the 100 push ups challenge. I need to add them back into my routine.

Tuesday, October 25, 2011

Tuesday Running 1 hour (4 miles with jogging stroller)

I ran on the lock and dam bike trail and the last 2 miles were horribly windy! I was exhausted by the time I got done. I thought I was going to collapse.

Also- did Week 5 Day 1 of the hundred push ups challenge. It took about 15 minutes.

Monday, October 24, 2011

Monday Swimming 1 hour

10 minutes breast stroke
10 minutes freestyle

Plus, 30 minutes light gardening and 30 minutes de-cluttering housework.

Saturday, October 22, 2011

Saturday Running 4 miles (45 minutes)

Ha ha! I am much faster without the jogging stroller now! Weirdly, I think pushing the jogging stroller is making me faster.

Also- watching all three kids while my husband is out of town. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Thursday, October 20, 2011

Thursday Barefoot running 25 minutes (2 miles) while pushing the jogging stroller

Why was I so much faster running with the jogging stroller today while wearing my vibrams (barefoot running shoes)? I have no idea. I was trying harder to make smaller, faster running steps.

I also walked home for 1 mile after I picked the kids up from school.

I also walked around the Goodwill for an hour with all three kids.

Wednesday, October 19, 2011

Wednesday Exercise Bike 30 minutes

I did three 2 minute "swatting flies" chest exercises in there. I also added two 2 minute bike sprints. Those are hard!

I did an exhaustion test for the hundred push ups challenge and got 40 push ups, so I get to repeat week 5. But, I can do 40 push ups now! Woohoo! When I started, I could only do 5 ;)

Plus, more organizing, more laundry, and going up and down the basement stairs 5 times while carrying a baby trying to figure out an electrical issue (I love old houses!).

Tuesday, October 18, 2011

Tuesday Running 1 hour (4 miles while pushing the jogging stroller)

I did not realize I was quiet that slow in the jogging stroller until today.

Plus, some laundry and organizing house stuff.

Yesterday

I forgot to log in yesterday. I did 19 minutes of alternating bike and elliptical. I won't have time for anything today, but I'll get back on it on Monday!
The Almighty Liz

Friday, October 14, 2011

Friday Exercise Bike 30 minutes

Plus, taking the kids swimming for 1 1/2 hours. That was much more tiring than the exercise bike!

Thursday, October 13, 2011

Thursday Barefoot Running 25 minutes

Just bare feet, for now. I will go back to the Vibram's barefoot running shoes after it gets cold again.

I also did Week 5 Day 2 of the hundred push ups challenge.

Wednesday, October 12, 2011

Yesterday and Today

I did basically the same workout today and yesterday. I did 12 minutes of cycling and elliptical yesterday, and 15 minutes today. Three days, three workouts. Go me!
The Almighty Liz

Wednesday Running 1 Hour (while pushing the jogging stroller)

I was running down the bike trail by the lock and dam again.

Tuesday, October 11, 2011

Tuesday Swimming 45 minutes

Plus, Week 5 Day 1 of the hundred push ups challenge.

I still have this stupid cold so it totally messed with my lung capacity while swimming and made me poop out early.

Monday, October 10, 2011

Monday Running 1 hour (watershed nature trail while pushing the jogging stroller)

Plus, 2 hours of grocery shopping and 30 minutes of gardening.

Saturday and Today

Okay, so the past couple of weeks have been bad weeks for Liz. Still trying to get the right medications and stuff. But, on Saturday, I went for an hour long bike ride with John, and today we went for a walk with the kids for family night. Hopefully this is a foreshadowing for the rest of the week. :D
The Almighty Liz

Saturday, October 8, 2011

Thursday & Saturday More Push Ups

I also did days 2 & 3 of the hundred push ups challenge on Thursday and Saturday (also days I did not work out otherwise). I also did another exhaustion test on Saturday and got a 32. Yay! I get to move on to Week 5!

Friday, October 7, 2011

Friday Running 40 minutes (3 1/2 miles)

That might be a new personal record for time/distance ;)

Plus, yard saleing all morning with the kids.

Wednesday, October 5, 2011

Wednesday Running 50 minutes (about 4 miles with baby in the jogging stroller)

I made it almost to the Clark Bridge from the Lock and Dam. In my car, it said it was about 2 miles (highway goes alongside the bike trail). I might do the 100 push ups challenge later. I will update this post if I do.

Tuesday, October 4, 2011

Tuesday Exercise Bike + Abs (45 minutes)

30 minutes exercise bike
15 minutes abs (standing abs and floor with 100 crunches)

Tuesday

I ran 7 miles today. I'm trying to decide if I want to ride with the Zillas this evening. Sounds like fun, but....??? We'll see.

Monday, October 3, 2011

Monday Running 50 minutes (4 miles with one BIG hill and pushing the jogging stroller)

Plus, walking home with the kids (another mile).

Also- did Week 4 Day 1of the hundred push ups challenge.
I started Week 4 over after not getting enough on the exhaustion test at the end of the week (missed it by 1!), and then taking a week off for the heavy duty garden work I did last week.

So, So Kind of Week

I ran Tuesday and Thursday with the group. I did a race on Saturday, and did okay. It was a small, short biathlon 5k run and a 15 mile bike, but it was hilly and windy. Out of only 16 women in the whole race, I placed 3rd overall. I won my age group, but there were only 3 of us, so whoop-dee-doo! Out of a total of 43 men and women, I placed 15th. I wish there were more biathlons. Those are my favorite kind of race!

Saturday, October 1, 2011

Saturday Abs, Buns, & Thighs 30 minutes

This was supposed to be a "zumba" workout of some kind, but it was just a basic strength workout for abs, buns, and thighs. I was disappointed since I wanted to try Zumba. Oh well, I have another Zumba workout ordered from the library. Hopefully the next one will actually include some real dancing!

ETA- My tulips finally came! 2 hours of preparing the new bed with a big shovel and planting 100 tulip bulbs with a little shovel. Now, I just have to wait 5 months to see how beautiful they will turn out ;)

Friday, September 30, 2011

Friday Running 1 hour (with jogging stroller)

I did not mean to run that long! I was running along the bike trail that goes by the Lock and Dam visitor's center and it was just to beautiful. The jogging stroller also makes it so easy to run. I'm so glad I found one for such a good deal ;)

Thursday, September 29, 2011

Thursday Running 20 minutes ("barefoot" trail running)

I made it a short run just to try out my new barefoot running shoes. I will try to add five minutes to this run next Thursday. I don't think I will run with the barefoot shoes more than once a week though.

Wednesday, September 28, 2011

Wednesday Exercise Bike 30 minutes

I also did the exhaustion test for the hundred push ups challenge and got 30 push ups! Woot! It was not even the bare minimum to get to the next week, but still awesome for me ;) I will have to repeat Week 4 to get past 31 push ups and move on to Week 5.

Tuesday, September 27, 2011

Tuesday Running 1 hour (on the watershed nature trail)

I was also pushing my "new" jogging stroller (got it for $60 on craigslist) which was awesome! It was so much easier to push than the bike trailer I used before with Q & V.

I'm also hoping to move another tree before the day is over.

Monday, September 26, 2011

Monday Swimming 55 minutes

10 minutes breast stroke
10 minutes freestyle
10 minutes back stroke
5 minutes freestyle
10 minutes back stroke
5 minutes freestyle
5 minutes kick board

Plus 1 1/2 hours heavy duty big shovel yard work (mostly moving a tree to another spot, but also some other shorter projects with a pick ax, moving heavy bags of rocks, and big planters full of dirt). I am Pooooo-ooooped!

Saturday, September 24, 2011

Saturday Running 35 minutes (big/medium hills)

I finally found a really hilly route near my house that I can just run hills the whole time.

Also- did Week 4 Day 3 of the hundred push ups challenge workout. I still have to do an exhaustion test tomorrow!

Plus- grocery shopping with the two older kids for 2 hours.

Friday Exercise Bike 30 minutes

I still have not gotten my stupid outdoor bike tire fixed!

Also, walked around yard sales almost all day (morning and late afternoon sales). I had just the baby in the morning, and then all three kids for the afternoon sales. Fun, but tiring ;)

Thursday Running 50 minutes (Trail Running)

I hope I got about 3 1/2 to 4 miles out of that. The trail was super muddy and slippery though!

I also did Week 4 Day 2 of the hundred push ups challenge. It was so hard this time! I hope I do better on Saturday for the last day, and then an exhaustion test at the end of the week too :p

Thursday

I ran 6 miles with the group today. I ran out with the superfast folks. DANG they fly! I kept up with them for nearly the whole first half of the run. Good run!

Wednesday, September 21, 2011

Wednesday Exercise Bike 30 minutes

Plus 30 minutes hard cleaning, and 30 minutes weeding.

Wednesday

As predicted, I did not make it to the animal ride last night. That's okay though because I did run 6 miles with the stroller yesterday.

Today I got up early and rode that horrible bike in the basement for 40 minutes.

I'm going to paint the garage today!!! Well that's the plan anyway. Been meaning to for 6 years now. It seems hard to believe that I'm actually going to do it.

Tuesday Strength Workout (arms+standing abs) 25 minutes Running 30 minutes (with big/medium hills)

Plus, some light housework. Tired today :p

Monday, Tuesday

I did basically the same thing yesterday and today: 4 min biking, 1 min off, 2 min elliptical, 1 min off, 4 min bike, 2 min backwards elliptical, 4 min biking. Except today the last set of biking I only did 2 min because I was wiped. I barely finished that, but I also pushed myself harder on the other things, so I call it a win. :D
Also started my diet last Friday, but am taking it slow to start as I've gained some bad habits that I need to get a handle on. Going cold turkey never worked for me. The first thing I'm working on are snacking; I'm taking it down to two a day, once after lunch and once after dinner. Next week, portion sizes! Or maybe adding breakfast, we'll see.

Posting Finally

Yeah, I haven't posted in a while. What have I been up to?

The past two weeks were nearly identical, like this:

Tuesday am: run 6 miles with the group
Tuesday pm: ride 19 miles with the other group

Thursday: Run 6 miles with the group

Saturday: Run 13 miles with the group.

It had been a long time since I've run anything more than about 7 miles, so I was afraid that I would bonk on my long Saturday runs. But surprisingly, I still felt pretty good after 13 miles both times. I was tired yes, but still perfectly able to go. Yay!

So far this week: I stayed up too late last night to run with the Tuesday am group, so I made up for it by running with Clayton in the stroller 6 miles after I took the kids to school. I don't know if I'll get to go on the animal ride tonight or not. Mark has a school project due tomorrow, so chances are that I won't have time tonight. Oh well, I'll just have to ride the bike in my basement tomorrow or something.

Oh and by the way girls, WATCH VOCAL POINT on Mondays on NBC at 7:00!!!! They are contestants on The Sing Off. I don't think they'll be on next week, though. There are 16 groups in all, and they did the first 8 last night. Since VP was on last night, the other 8 will most likely be on next week. But the week after that!!

Plus Week 3 Day 3 of the hundred push ups challenge.

Thursday, September 15, 2011

Thursday Running 35 minutes (Trail running)

I'm hoping I got 3 miles out of that. That trail felt awesome on my joints, especially since I was running 2 days in a row!

I also did Week 3 Day 2 of the hundred push ups challenge. It's getting pretty tough, but I'm enjoying the extra strength. I'm going to need it to do all the gardening projects I've got planned for this fall ;)

Tuesday Swimming 50 minutes

Woohoo! My pool opened up again!

10 minutes breast stroke
10 minutes freestyle
10 minutes backstroke
5 minutes freestyle
5 minutes backstroke
5 minutes freestyle
5 minutes kick board

Also, watched 4 month old twins for 3 hours today. Talk about exhausting!

New Equipment

So, a couple of weeks ago, I finally replaced my broken exercise bike. (it was totally broke beyond repair, John and I busted it open for a look) I replaced it with the coolest machine: an upright bike and elliptical in one! I love love love it!
Today I did four minutes of bike, 1 min break, 2 min elliptical, 1 min break, 4 min of bike, 2 min break, and 2 min elliptical in reverse. Baby steps right? I won't tell you where I started a couple of weeks ago!
And I was wrong yesterday when I said thirty pounds. It's thirty-five now. Someone, just shoot me, please? I now weigh as much as I did when I was pregnant with Erik, and that was the most I'd weighed, ever. Just in time for the holidays! Ugh.

Monday Strength Workout 20 minutes (arms + standing abs) Running 35 minutes (2 1/2 miles with BIG hills)

Included in the strength workout was Week 3 Day 1 of the hundred push ups challenge.

Confession Time

I have been avoiding this blog.
Why?!, you may ask. This is YOUR BLOG! The answer is because of some medication, I have gained 30 pounds. Yes, you read that right, THIRTY. And I'm more than a little depressed and discouraged and nigh unto hopeless about it. I have been working out, but reading about all of your successes and progress just makes me feel worse. But I thought I owed you all an explanation.
Also, I'm getting off the meds as of Thursday. Time to get motivated again, and GET RID OF THIS WEIGHT!
Roar with me now!
ROOOOOOOOAAAAAAAARRRRRR!!

Saturday Running 30 minutes (2 1/2 miles FLATS)

In the rain, woot!

Plus- did Week 2 Day 3 push up workout, AND the exhaustion test. I can now do 20 push ups! WOO-HOO!

Also- grocery shopped for 2 hours.

Thursday, September 8, 2011

Thursday Running 40 minutes (trail running)

I ran on the SIUE cross country trails. It was hard! The last 5 minutes was shoeless. I think if I ever get up to 3-4 miles running barefoot, I will run on this trail since it is so soft.

Also- helped my mom move a bunch of boxes inside her house.

Thursday Strength Workout 30 minutes (arms, abs, calves)

I included Week 2 Day 2 of the 100 push ups challenge. I did 200 crunches, plus standing abs. I did arms with the 10 lb free weights. Also, calf raises. I'm hoping to run later in the day too.

Wednesday, September 7, 2011

Wednesday Walking 1 hour (about 3 miles)

With two kids in a double stroller.

Also- did yard work for 2 hours. Pruning half dead bushes & trees, and weeding my vegetable patch for next year.

Tuesday, September 6, 2011

Tuesday Exercise Bike 30 minutes

I also did three swatting flies exercises while I biked lasting 2 minutes each (6 minutes total).

I did not get much else done today because I was babysitting 4 month old twins (in addition to my 16 month old) for 3 hours today and that pretty much wore me out!

Monday, September 5, 2011

Monday Strength 20 minutes (Arms + Abs)

I did a quick strength workout later in the day. Week 2 Day 1 of the hundred push ups program complete. Also used 10 lb free weights for my arms and standing abs only.

Monday Running 35 minutes (3 miles FLATS)

Beautiful weather for a run!

Saturday, September 3, 2011

Saturday Yoga 40 minutes Running 30 minutes (2 1/2 miles FLATS)

I did the yoga to pull some kinks out of my body, mostly my right hip. It worked! My right hip did not hurt at all during my run and it was a pretty fast run (compared to how slow I've been lately).

Friday- I did the Week 1 Day 3 of the hundred push ups program. It is definitely getting tougher! My arms already feel more buff though ;)

This Week

I got sick toward the end of last week, and I'm not sure when I posted last, so I'll just give you this week:

Tuesday: Ran 6 miles with the group in the morning, Biked 19 miles with Godzilla in the p.m.

Thursday: Ran 6 miles with the group (SLOW, we've had a bit of a scare from a weird stalker guy, and I didn't want to leave Judy alone, so I stayed back with her. It's alright though, it was so hot, I was probably going to have a bad run anyway.)

Friday: Ran 4 fast and mildly hilly miles with Bruce and his gang. It was a race the whole way, and I'm glad to say that I came in first. My average speed was about 8:25 minute miles.

Thursday, September 1, 2011

Thursday Running 35 minutes (3 miles FLATS)

I found this new route with less curves and turns. I think I run faster on long straightaways. Also, 93 degrees at 8pm at night! Are you kidding me? That was one hot night run ;)

Wednesday, August 31, 2011

Wednesday Strength Workout + Exercise Bike 50 minutes total

Exercise Bike- 25 minutes

Strength workout- 25 minutes (including Week 1 Day 2 of the hundred push ups challenge).

Tuesday, August 30, 2011

Tuesday Kickboxing 40 minutes, Walking with the kids 2 hours

I did two workouts off of the Caribbean Workout Kickboxing with Shelly McDonald.

Also, walked with two kids in the double stroller for over an hour (to the school, and then the park) and then another 50 minutes to get home from the park.

Monday, August 29, 2011

Monday Strength 30 minutes Running 40 minutes (3 miles with one BIG hill) 1 hour 10 minutes total

I kicked that big hill's butt! The last 4 times I've had to walk the last 20-30 feet, but not this time. Woot!

Strength- 15 minutes of arms with 10 lb free weights and Day 1 Week 1 of the hundred push ups program. 15 minutes of abs (with standing abs, and floor work including the 200 crunches).

Also- had to deal with a very cranky baby all day! She was such a grump I pretty much was not able to get anything else done today :(

Saturday, August 27, 2011

Saturday Running 40 minutes (3 miles with one BIG hill)

Pretty good time for hitting that big hill. Plus, I had to slow down for no less than FIVE dogs who scared the poop out of me. It was probably because I had to wait until 8pm at night to run again. Man! This was just not my week to try to get in a day time run. I'm scoping out yard sales for a running stroller so I can get more runs in during the day.

Friday- I meant to do another strength workout, but I ended up replacing two large window panes and yard saleing for 2-3 hours with the kids. I was too tired after all that to do a strength workout. Plus, I cut my hand pretty bad getting out a large piece of old window so I was not sure how well I would have been able to do weights anyway.

Thursday, August 25, 2011

Thursday Running 40 minutes (3 miles FLATS)

I had to wait until 8pm to run because my mom was out of town and could not watch the kids. I was pretty tired from yard work.

Also- big shovel for 1/2 hour, and weeding (including about a million prickly cockle burrs!) for 1 hour.

Pooped now, going to bed ;)

For Super Dave

I hope you all allow me to take a small space here to dedicate to a friend, Dave Bauer. Nearly two weeks ago, Team Alton (my running group) lost one of our favorite members. Dave was in his 50s, and he was a really great guy. I can't stress how completely, unbelievably, unexpected this was! You really couldn't have asked to meet a nicer person than Dave. We are still in shock. Apparently he was taking anti-depressants, and they made him sleepy. He feel asleep while he was at work, and got caught sleeping on the job. He lost his job, blamed his meds, and abruptly quit taking them. The imbalance sent him into a spiraling depression, and he shot himself.

We miss him with every running step. All I can say is folks, be CAREFUL about taking these kinds of drugs! The commercials for them even warn about this kind of stuff. Anyone who knew Dave would have NEVER EVER thought he would do something like this. It is so tragic! It truly scares me how ready doctors are to write prescriptions for these kinds of medicines, and how ready people are to just take them. I'm sure there are cases where they are really needed, but I wish that it could be given more CAREFUL consideration, before the doctors even pick up that pen.

For Team Alton, we love and miss you Dave!

Checking In

Monday: Ran "hills" with the boys. 4 miles. Don't tell the guys, but their version of hills ...??? I'd better not say too much; it seems like tempting fate.

Tuesday: Biked with Godzilla 19 miles. I felt good.

Thursday: Ran 6 miles with the group. I felt darn good.

I'm feeling really great these days. It's time to up the anti! Got to keep this momentum going.

Wednesday Exercise Bike + Strength Workout (50 minutes)

Exercise bike- 25 minutes
Abs- 15 minutes (standing abs, plus floor work with 200 crunches)
Arms- 10 minutes (with 10 lb free weight)

I also did the initial test for the 100 push ups program (6 week program). I could only do 5 in a row, so obviously I need to work on this! I will be starting the program on Monday.

I just kickboxed while watching a movie. I also ran in place to keep the aerobic effect lasting longer.

Monday, August 22, 2011

Monday Strength Workout 25 minutes (LATER) Running 35 minutes (2 1/2 miles with one BIG hill)

I did the strength workout earlier in the day. 15 minutes abs (standing abs + floor work with 100 crunches included) and 10 minutes arms with 10lb free weights.

Running- The big hill was kicking my butt today. I also did 3 minutes of shoeless running.

Friday & Saturday

Friday: Biked 40 minutes on the trainer

Saturday: Ran about 6 miles including 5 loops on my super hilly block. Also we met John & Co. at Cahokia Mounds. John, Bruce, Lydia & I raced to the top of Monk Mound. I came in dead last, but I did run the entire way up the thing.

Saturday, August 20, 2011

Saturday Yoga 50 minutes

I love yoga for tension release!

I wanted to go running today, but I've been exposed to a ton of dust over the last couple days and it has made me feel really tired and run down.

Goal for next week- exercise 5 times!

Thursday, August 18, 2011

Thursday Running 1 hour

I think I was hitting about a 12 minute mile pace, so I ran about 5 miles. Woot! I totally was not expecting to pull that run out of my hat today! I ran on the Watershed Nature Center trail again. I will now refer to it as the "Magic Nature Trail" from now on ;)

Wednesday, August 17, 2011

Wednesday Biking 55 minutes

I pushed myself pretty hard for my second time out and hit some big hills (well they felt big on a bike anyway). It was hard biking for the first 30 minutes or so, and then I let myself cool down on some flats for the last half of the ride. Still tons of fun!

Wednesday

Well, I did NOT do the bike ride last night. I just decided that I wanted to stay home with my kiddos. Good thing too. Bruce went to the team meeting afterward, and didn't get home till after nine o'clock.

Today I got up and ran with Bruce. We did a fast, hilly 4 miles.

Tuesday, August 16, 2011

Tuesday Running 40 minutes (2 1/2 miles FLATS)

Slow tired run today. I guess I was still tired from cleaning out the basement all weekend?

Saturday & Tuesday

Saturday was of course the big race. I kicked booty! The weather was good, I felt good, it all shaped up perfect. I took 3 minutes off my P.R. I was hoping to take off 1:30 off, so I was STOKED that I doubled that!!

Monday I was ... not lazy, I did lots of housework, but I didn't work out.

It's now Tuesday. I ran with the group this morning. I got there a little late, so I missed part of the run. I'd guess I ran 5.25 miles. I am also planning on riding with the Zillas tonight. I'll probably do around 20 miles.

Friday, August 12, 2011

Friday Running 40 minutes (3 miles FLATS)

Plus 2 minutes of shoeless running.

Also- cleaned the house for 1 1/2 hours.

ETA- got my backing up sewer drain cleaned later in the day, so I used the energy from running to clean the poop covered basement for 2 hours. Plus 7 loads of laundry (and that's just a start! I still have at least 10 more to go).

Thursday, August 11, 2011

Thursday Biking 50 minutes

I haven't been on my mountain bike in YEARS. Today was the perfect day for a bike ride too. I avoided all hills though, just to take it easy my first time out bike riding in awhile. My bottom held up really well (probably because of using the exercise bike). It was so much fun! I have no idea how many miles I biked. I was just meandering all over EA, WR, and a little into Rxn.

Wednesday, August 10, 2011

Wednesday Running 30 minutes (2 1/2 miles)

I also did 2 minutes of shoeless running. My feet are not feeling stronger/better but my ankles feel much stronger. I will keep it up just for the ankle strengthening benefits.

Also- walked with the kids for 1 1/2 hours (about 3 miles) and pulled weeds for 45 minutes. What a gorgeous day! I could not get enough of it.

Tuesday, August 9, 2011

Tuesday Exercise Bike + Arms 40 minutes

Exercise Bike- 30 minutes (with 2 swatting flies chest exercise sessions). Arms- with 10lb free weights 10 minutes.

Finally started feeling "all better" Sunday night.

Monday- walked around the zoo while carrying the baby in the sling for 3 hours. It was a great day for it!

Monday & Tuesday Thus Far

Monday: Swam 900+ meters

Tuesday: So far I've run 6 miles with the group. I am also planning to ride with Team Godzilla this evening. I'm feeling so good, it's making me nervous for the weekend. Must knock on wood!

Sunday, August 7, 2011

Saturday

Biked 20 minutes on the trainer, and ran 5 miles.

Thursday, August 4, 2011

Wednesday & Thursday

Wednesday: Biked on the accursed trainer 40 minutes, ran 1 mile. I also swam.

Thursday: Ran 6 miles with group.

Wednesday, August 3, 2011

Mon, Tue, Wed

Monday: "Swam" somewhere in the vicinity of 1/2 mile or more.

Tuesday: Ran 6 miles with the group.

Wednesday: Biked 40 minutes on trainer, ran 1 mile.

Saturday, July 30, 2011

Saturday Kickboxing 45 minutes

I feel better today, but I did not feel well enough to go running yesterday. I think I'm going to have to bite the bullet and go to the doctor for some tests to figure out what is wrong with me.

ETA- also weeded for 1 hour

Saturday

I went to the pool and Bruce taught me his new dolphin dive thing. I practiced it for nearly two hours. I think it's going to work out great!!

Friday, July 29, 2011

Friday

I did a brick with Bruce and John D. We rode out normal for 3 miles and biked back as hard as we could go for the last three, then we transitioned and ran 3 miles. It's a different kind of workout, but still good.

Thursday, July 28, 2011

Thursday Swimming 1 hour

Breast stroke- 10 minutes
back stroke- 10 minutes
freestyle- 10 minutes
back stroke- 10 minutes
freestyle- 10 minutes
kick board- 10 minutes

Plus- light housework, watering plants, etc.

Thursday

My stellar week continues as we approach the WRT. (Timpani, when are you going to take up the challenge? 2012 WRT???)

I ran with the group at 5:00 this morning. It was already 80 degrees, and I survived. 5.5 miles.

I'm even trying to eat healthy stuff; well I'm drinking V8 anyway.

I REALLY REALLY REALLY hope this heat wave is over by race day!!! (And I really hope that we aren't done with this one, but into the next.) I could really go for a cold snap on August 13. Can I put in an order?

Wednesday, July 27, 2011

Update through Tuesday

Lets see, I posted last just over a week ago. I don't even know if I remember all that I've done since then, but here's what I've got:

Thursday: Ran 5 miles, just a regular flat run. It was hot, but I survived.

Saturday: Biked 20 miles, ran one.

Monday: I ran 5 miles with Bruce and his friend John D. I kicked their booties.

Tuesday Morning: I ran the nasty Alton hill route with the group for the first time in a couple of months. (Ball games till 10:30 at night is not exactly conducive to getting up at 4:30, so it's been a while since I ran with Team Alton.) I felt good and actually ran much better than one would expect, it being warm not having run that course in a while. So that's 6 miles of monster hills.

Tuesday Evening: I biked with Team Godzilla. I did one loop on Whiteside, so that's 19 miles. I felt great, and with about four miles to go, I passed up an entire peloton of men, they tried to catch me, but only one of them managed to catch me and to draft off of my back wheel till we got back to the lot. It's probably just a fluke though. Next week I'll just be normal, perfectly vincible, Renae.

Tuesday, July 26, 2011

Tuesday Running 1 hour (about 5 miles FLATS)

I decided to run on the Watershed paved trail again. It was so much cooler than running around my neighborhood. Or should I say less hot? I kept a good pace again, so I think I did about 5 miles.

I also walked earlier in the day for 1 1/2 hours while holding Sorsha in the sling with the kids on the Watershed Nature Trail (including the newly re-opened Marsh Walk). So much fun!

I've also been doing 1-2 minutes of BAREFOOT RUNNING
This time I ran for 5 minutes with no shoes. I want to get up to 30 minutes before I lay down $100 or more for any of these barefoot running shoes.

Monday Kickboxing Bootcamp 50 minutes

I did the Kickboxing Bootcamp DVD that I got from the library. Still the hardest kickboxing DVD I have ever done! She has sections for weights and floor ab work, so it is a 2 for 1 workout for me so I can count it as cardio and weight training.

Also- light housework for 1 hour.

Sunday, July 24, 2011

Saturday Exercise Bike 30 minutes

Plus 2-3 hours of housework (involving lots of going up and down stairs).

Friday, July 22, 2011

Friday Running 1 Hour

I went running on the watershed nature trail (the paved part shared with bikes) and it was awesome! It was shaded and it felt so much cooler than my run on Wednesday. I'm pretty sure I ran 5 miles too because I kept a great pace the whole time!

ETA- I think it really helped that I ate a protein bar directly before running, and had a protein shake about 2 hours before that. I also at yogurt twice today and I think that is helping with the stomach problems I have been having. Hopefully the yogurt cure keeps working!

Thursday, July 21, 2011

Thursday Swimming 50 minutes

Breast stroke -10 minutes
Freestyle- 10 minutes
Back stroke- 10 minutes
freestyle- 10 minutes
Back stoke- 10 minutes
freestyle- 5 minutes
(and then I started feeling sick again and had to stop swimming :P)

Wednesday, July 20, 2011

Wednesday Running 35 minutes ( 2 1/2 miles with STEEP hill)

92 degrees at 8pm! Gah! I was prepared with wet shorts, and a partially frozen water bottle, but it was still a struggle the whole time.

Also- chased a 1 year old around the library while her older siblings enjoyed a magic/puppet/kid comedy show for the reading program. I was yucky with sweat by the end of the hour :p

Tuesday, July 19, 2011

Tuesday Kickboxing 30 minutes

Still sick :P Crappy lame workout!

Also- vacuumed for 5 minutes.

Tuesday

Speed work at the track.

Monday, July 18, 2011

Monday

I did a brick with Bruce's group, 15 miles on the bike, then ran 2 miles. Yeah, I kicked their booties! verage speed on bike 19.4 mph.

Also I worked out in the yard for about 1.5 hours. The good news is that I weighed myself afterward (yeah, some of the weight loss is water) 150! I haven't seen that number in several months! Also it is my time of the month, and I usually weigh more, so maybe that balances out some of the "I just sweated my booty off for the second time today, and I lost 3 lbs of water???"

Saturday, July 16, 2011

I'm still Here

I've been doing stuff and not posting. I don't really remember where I left off, but here is this week's report. Super busy with ball games, so really not a great week.

Thursday: Ran 5.75 miles with Clayton in stroller

Saturday: Biked 20 miles (one loop on Whiteside) average speed 18.2 mph, then ran just over 1/2 mile just to get my legs back.

Friday, July 15, 2011

Vacation Wore Me Out!

So, I've been gone for a week, but I've still been at it. Here's the run down:

Monday or Tuesday: I ran, but I can't remember the details.

Wednesday: I ran with Bruce 4 miles.

Thursday: I ran with Terry (Bruce's dad) a very hilly 6.25 miles. We went 7 miles, but I only ran just over 6.

Saturday: I ran / walked somewhere around 5 miles.

Monday: 4th of July Biathlon. 5 mile run and 20 mile bike. I took second in my division, but only because there weren't very many folks who showed up. If I have any prayer of placing at the triathlon next month, I need to put in some serious training. This half hearted walk / run crap that I've been doing is NOT going to cut it. If I could cut about 10 lbs, that would help too. My major downfall seems to be my run times. I guess that means I need to do some speed work. I wish these races weren't in the summer! I hate trying to run in the heat! I have no excuse though, yesterday was about as nice a day as you get in July.

Thursday Running 30 mintues (2 1/2 miles with medium hills and two big hills)

It was hot too.

Also- cleaned and packed all day. I hope to be able to run on my little vacation this weekend too, but I will have to see.

Saturday Running 5 miles 1 hour (FLATS)

I finally did it! I ran for 1 hour!!!! Plus, I made freakin' good time for 5 miles of running ;) I can't believe I was able to do a 12 minute mile pace for 5 miles!!!!!!!!!

Friday, June 24, 2011

Friday

5.5 miles ran on the hill route, not at the crack of dawn. Yay for good weather!!

Thursday, June 23, 2011

Thursday Running 30 minutes (2 1/2 miles)

I ran the big hill twice, and then there were some medium hills too. I felt so fast! It was a great run in what felt like spring or fall weather.

Thursday

I was just in the mood for a walk. I think better that way. I walked 4 miles with Miss Ally. Not the best workout that I've ever had, but still good for the mental health.

Wednesday Running 25 minutes + Strength workout 35 minutes

Renae saved me by watching the kids so I could run today! I so needed a run to get me through the day until the kids went to bed. I ran 2 miles on the big hills route.

Strength (after the kids went to bed)- 10 minutes arms (with 10 lb free weights), 5 minutes standing abs, and 20 minutes exercise bike (because my knees were bugging me after my swim last night).

So Far This Week

It may be insanely late to be starting a garden, but I did it anyway. Our tiller isn't working, and Bruce kept talking about fixing it, so we could start our garden. Time kept passing, and I realized that if I wanted a garden this year, it was in my own hands. So on Monday I grabbed my shovel and tilled the whole thing manually, pulling all the weeds out as I went. I worked for several hours on Monday, and pretty much all day yesterday. I cleared a space that is approximately 12 x 15 feet (which is MUCH smaller than our usual garden, but that is probably actually good, because I could never keep up with the ginormous things Bruce tilled up - with a tiller. I decided that this year I was going to do things right, and not leave myself any more weeding than I absolutely had to do, so I also dug up a nice perimeter, and put in a barrier from the weeds that would come in from the sides. I planted 8 tomato plants, 8 pepper plants (which were extremely hard to find by this time of the season), I planted two rows of green beans (this is about a quarter of the beans we did last time) and some pumpkins. We also have some grape vines in the garden and a TON of wild grapes (which I prefer for jelly making anyway) growing in the trees in the back of the yard. Holy crud!! I have never been more tired!! I am sore, and sunburned (especially on that strip just above the back of my jeans from bending over). Now all I have to do is go back to the store and find a couple of bales of straw to mulch the crud out of that thing. I'm leaving here in just a minute to go and do just that.

Also I ran 5.5 miles today and walked 0.5 mile.

Tuesday, June 21, 2011

Tuesday Swimming 1 hour

10 minutes breast stroke
10 minutes free style
10 minutes back stroke
5 minutes freestyle (fast!)
10 minutes back stroke
5 minutes free style (even faster!)
5 minutes breast stroke
5 minutes kick board

With mixing up the freestyle and backstroke I was able to really fast the whole time without getting arm fatigue or killing my neck. It was an absolutely fabulous swim because of this. I think I might do this from now on because it really made a difference and it felt great!

Also- mowed the lawn and raked the grass for 45 minutes.

Monday, June 20, 2011

Monday Running 35 minutes Strength Workout 25 minutes (1 hour total)

I ran in the morning for about 3 miles. Medium hills plus one large hill.

Later in the day- Strength workout- 10 minutes arms (with 10 lb free weight), 15 minutes abs (including 100 crunches).

Plus, two hours of gardening. Big E is out of town, and I slept like crap last night. I decided to kick my own butt to make sleeping a little easier tonight.

Weight loss revisited- I lost 4 lbs in the last two weeks, and all I can think that I was doing different was actually getting enough sleep? I started a new diet Sunday to try to keep it going. We'll see how it goes.

Satuday Walking 45 minutes

Meh, not the best workout, but better than nothing.

Saturday

Well, it's officially been a really crappy week. Today I set out for a 6 mile run, and ended up running 4 miles and walking 1.5. The weather was not overly hot, overcast and windy, so for a summer workout, it should have been good. I actually slept till 9:00 in the morning (which for someone who is usually up by 6:30, that is a big deal. Somehow, I just still don't have the energy. I'll get it back.

Thursday, June 16, 2011

Thursday Exercise Bike + Strength Workout 35 minutes

20 minutes- exercise bike (with two, 2 minute swatting flies exercises)
10 minutes- arms with 10 lb free weight
5 minutes- standing abs

My heel was killing me today, so running was out. I was not sure I needed the strength workout today since I was hauling heavy bags of STUFF out of my mom's house for 3 hours. We were trying to clear a room so my mom could move a huge bed up from the basement, and my mom's house is a sucking black hole of junk. 3 HOURS! GAH!

Also- 30 minutes of planting in the yard. If you are wondering where I am getting all this energy for all this stuff it is because with the kids out of school I am finally getting some sleep. Woohoo for sleep! Once again, pooped now though ;)

Is it Thursday already?

I still have a sinus headache. That's over a week full of headache. I'd really like for it to go away. I tried running again yesterday. I decided on my hill route. I made it to less than half of my workout, and though I still felt okay, I quit. I just wasn't in the mood. I've really GOT to do something challenging today. More later I hope!

Wednesday, June 15, 2011

Wednesday Walking 30 minutes/ Swimming 45 minutes ( 1 hour 15 minutes total)

Walking- 1 1/2 miles total while holding the baby in the sling.

Swimming- breast stroke- 15 minutes, freestyle- 20 minutes, back stroke -10 minutes. I was totally rocking during the freestyle, but I pooped out on the back stroke. I think I just did too much today.

Also- dug up plants for 1 hour (from a lady giving away plants on my freecycle group).

I am pooped ;)

Hiking

I couldn't get on to blogger yesterday, so I'll post yesterday's workout today. I'm not sure what I'm going to do today, probably pilates.
Yesterday I went hiking with the activity day girls for an hour and a half. I don't know how many miles it was, but I had to keep up with everyone, so it made it very challenging for me. I'm still exhausted, lol!! But I did it! Score for me!
The Almighty Liz
ETA: So, I just got done with my workout and I ended up doing 10 minutes of dance video because I couldn't find my Pilates dvd. I'm glad I chose the 10 min one instead of the 15 because I wouldn't have been able to finish, and I would have felt like a failure. As it is, I feel GREAT! Lol!

Tuesday Kickboxing 45 minutes

My little sister is visiting this week, and my husband had to work late, so I did not have time to go running today.

Monday, June 13, 2011

Monday Strength Workout 30 minutes Running 30 minutes (1 hour total)

Strength workout (done earlier in the day)- arms (10 lb free weights), abs (with standing abs and 100 crunches), and legs (mostly leg lifts).

Running- with one BIG hill 2 1/2 miles total.

Plus- weeding and planting for 1 hour.

I decided that since I've been wanting to get back up to 5 hours of working out, AND add two strength workouts in, that I would need to do a strength workout on one of the running days. I also want to start running 4 times a week (short run, speed work, regular run, and long run) in addition to swimming once a week too.

Monday

I'm feeling improved, but still not back on top. Since the weather rocks today, I decided to give running a try. After running out 2.5 miles, I decided that maybe running just yet wasn't the greatest idea. I walked back the last 2.5 miles. Still counts though.

Beating the Crap Out of Something Workout

So, first, let me just say that I know I haven't been posting much, or commenting, and that is because my computer is RETARDED. I'm not even sure I'll be able to post this, but we'll see. Also, we were on vacation there for a week.

Second, just in case this posts, you guys are doing AWESOME!! Keep it up, you're my HEROES!

Third, I stepped on my scales this morning to see that I've gained ten pounds back from when I lost it all. I'm at 138 right now, and that is UNACCEPTABLE. Part of it is some of the meds I'm on now, which make me munchy munchy munchy, but the other part is I haven't worked out in ages, which I ESPECIALLY need to do to combat the munchiness. My ankle is healed, my bike isn't fixed, but I bought some little peddle things that you can use anywhere for forty bucks (at my mom's house, they were shipped while I was on vacation, so I'm picking them up on Wednesday), and to help the RAGE portion of my emotional cycle, I bought a punching bag. Today is a rage day, so I used it. It's awesome, and I am way way WAY out of shape!! I did 10 min. of punching/kicking, and then 5 more of blocks, and I'm wiped. Shame on me for letting myself go so much! I'm going to work out every day this week. Also, I found out from a member of my ward, who is a 3rd degree black belt and an instructor at this school, about a good dojo, so I'm going to give it a go, and try to get back into martial arts. I miss them, and I need the discipline and focus right now at this time in my life. Take THAT you extra ten pounds! You are getting kicked to the curb ASAP!

The Past Week

Okay, since I had such a stellar week LAST week, I just had to make up for it somehow. (Boo!)

I came down sick. I didn't work out at all until Friday (when I still didn't feel all that great) when a 4 mile run just about did me in. It was all I could do not to fall down in the shower afterward, I was so tired.

Saturday, I was feeling mostly better, so Bruce and I went for a nice long 33 mile bike ride. It was fun for the first 25 miles. After that, we got into some wind, and the last several miles SUCKED! I was REALLY glad to finish that bike ride.

Unfortunately by Saturday night, my cold had turned on me, and I have a MASSIVE sinus headache. I think that the junk that I've been harboring in my sinus cavity since Tuesday must have started to grow bacteria, because I went from feeling sort of okay Saturday morning to feeling like complete and utter dung by Saturday night. After an all-night-no-earthly-over-the-counter-medicine-is-even-beginning-to-touch-this-thing kind of headache, I decided I'd had enough and I skipped church and took myself to the Take Care Clinic at Walgreens and got myself on some antibiotics. As of right now, I still have a horrible sinus headache. I'm hoping that I'll feel better by tomorrow morning! I should probably go to bed now. Night night everyone! (Well Timpani anyway)

Saturday Running 4 miles (50 minutes, FLATS)

4 miles again! Woot! I missed my "long run" last week, so I did not try for 5 miles this week. I will try for 5 miles next week though. Eek! Kind of exciting, to me ;)

I missed swimming this week due to scheduling conflicts. I will have to make sure and swim next week!

Thursday Running 30 minutes

My mommy told me to only run for 30 minutes because of the heat (it was about noon). I listened to her, but it honestly felt cooler at noon than it did at 8:30 at night on Tuesday night. Plus, sunshine! It was a nice day for a run, for me. I think I covered a little over 2 miles? I need to get one of those mileage tracker gadgets.

Also- some light yard work and housework 1 hour total.

Wednesday, June 8, 2011

Wednesday Exercise Bike + Strength (Arms & Abs) 50 minutes

Exercise Bike 30 minutes
Arms (with 10lb free weight) 10 minutes
Standing Abs 10 minutes

Finally got a strength workout in! With the extreme heat, I have not been doing enough gardening for me to really count it as a strength workout.

Tuesday, June 7, 2011

Tuesday Running 3 Miles (with one STEEP hill) 40 minutes

Ran in the evening this time, yuck! Sticky and hot even at 8:30pm. I was slow the whole time. I ran the other side of the BIG hill which is one STEEP hill and then another small down and up hill. I prefer the BIG hill. I had to walk twice running up the STEEP hill.

Also- cleaned the kitchen for 30 minutes.

Monday, June 6, 2011

Monday Running 3 miles 35 minutes (with one BIG hill)

I made it all the way up the BIG hill with no walking! I had to get up at 6am to beat the heat this morning. We'll see if I fall over dead later today ;)

Edited to add- Also, went grocery shopping with three kids for 2 hours (total with putting everything away) and weeded and watered plants for 1 hour.

Sunday, June 5, 2011

Friday & Saturday

Friday I walked the dog 4 miles. Easy, but still must count for something.

Saturday biking with Bruce and Terry. Somewhere around 20-22 miles. I forget which. Good times!

Friday, June 3, 2011

Friday Swimming 1 hour

15 minutes breast stroke
20 minutest back stroke
15 minutes freestyle
10 minutes kick board
I felt sluggish today, and my stroke felt clumsy, so I'm watching some internet videos to work on a few tings.

Also- cleaned and organized the play room for 2 hours.

Thursday, June 2, 2011

Thursday Running 40 minutes (3 miles with hills)

I would call these medium size hills? They are the hills around my mom's house. I was also guessing at the miles. I will have to figure out exact distances some other time.

Also- watered all the plants in the yard.

Wednesday & Thursday

I went hiking with the kids yesterday. Holy freaking cow, the mosquitoes and the tics were out in force!! I had the willies all day after we got home. I made everyone do a thorough and invasive tic check, and Bruce cut the three youngest boys' hair to help. They were way over due too.

Today I ran the hill route in my neighborhood. 5.5 miles and 20 hills.

Wednesday, June 1, 2011

Thursday Exercise Bike 45 minutes

With three sessions of "swattting flies" arm exercise mixed in. I wanted to go swimming tonight, but the jerks changed my pool schedule!

Also- did home improvement for about 2 hours.

So Far This Week

Monday, biathlon: 5 mile run & 15 mile bike. Bad run, great bike.

Tuesday: Biked with the Zillas, two loops on the Whiteside hill. That's somewhere around 21 miles on the bike. Average speed 17.2 mph

Weighed 155 this morning. I just can't seem to stick to a diet.

Tuesday, May 31, 2011

Tuesday Running 2 1/2 miles (with one BIG hill) 30 minutes

Good time for me!

Also- moved leaf mulch from one end of the yard and put it in my vegetable garden for 1 hour (using the big shovel). I also dealt with a cranky teething baby all day. Does that burn calories? ;)

Sunday, May 29, 2011

This Week

Tuesday I ran 6 miles with the group. Oddly no one was there at the hill route starting place, so I had to run the normal route.

Thursday I ran the hill route in my own neighborhood. I have one really hilly block that I just run over and over. It's smaller than the rest of the blocks around here, and there is literally no flat parts at all. I actually counted, and I did 20 hills (all of them beasts) in 5.5 miles. No wonder I don't enjoy that route.

Saturday I rode 12 miles with Bruce, then we ran 1 mile.

Saturday, May 28, 2011

Saturday Running 4 miles 50 minutes (FLATS)

That's right! FOUR miles! Woohoo! I've never run that far EVER. I managed to keep a 12-13 minute mile pace too. Because I rule baby!

Also- Picked up tiny pieces of glass for almost an hour (don't ask, just know the kids are in really big trouble still) and went shopping with the family all afternoon.

Friday, May 27, 2011

Friday Exercise Bike 30 minutes

The first 10 minutes was high tension (ouch! but I made it). I also did two sessions of "swatting the flies" that lasted 2 minutes each.

Also- 1 hour total of light weeding (sitting down, slowly weeding with the baby nearby). I was pretty worn out today, not sure why.

Thursday, May 26, 2011

Thursday Running (Speedwork) 2 miles 30 minutes

I ran 1/2 mile in 4 minutes! Holy cow fast for me! I walked it off for 1/4 mile. Then I ran 1/4 mile "sprints" three times (with lots of walking in between). That first 1/2 mile was invigorating though. Woot!

Also- went to a play day with QQ for 2 1/2 hours at her school. Then went to another party with all three kids (by myself) and was up and down stairs for 2 1/2 hours chasing my kids all over a large house. Fun day, but tiring!

Tuesday, May 24, 2011

Tuesday Swimming 1 hour

Breast stroke 15 minutes
back stroke 20 minutes
freestyle 15 minutes
kick board 10 minutes

Woot! Back up to 1 hour of swimming!

Also-laundry all day.

Monday, May 23, 2011

Monday Running 35 minutes (3 miles FLATS)

I really worked hard, and totally made great time! Woot! I think it helped that I avoided sidewalks, and stuck mostly to road. I read that somewhere online that sidewalks are the worst for people with bad feet (like me).

Also- super speedy gardening for 30 minutes! I was trying to beat the thunder/lightning/torrential rain and just managed to finish before the skies really opened up. I also did a complicated dinner that had me on my feet for about an hour.

Friday, May 20, 2011

Friday Exercise Bike 40 minutes

Woot! Up to 40 minutes. The first 10 minutes I upped the tension. Also did 3 "swatting flies" segments lasting 2 minutes each.

Plus- 2 hours walking around with the baby in the sling while we went to yard sales.

Thursday- also did heavy weeding for 1 hour.

Thursday, May 19, 2011

Kajukenbo- trip down memory lane

So my instructor came in for a visit and OUCH. (Actually, quite a few people came out of the woodwork.)

He let me start out, but then took over. We did rolls, more rolls, ducked and slipped punches (after the rolls). We kicked standing bags and BOB (see other posts). Push-ups, crab walks, more push-ups. Grappling, mostly multiple people holding down one person and they had to stand up. (Dodged that bullet.) Shadowboxing. It was a good work out, but I am going to hurt tomorrow.

Thursday

biked on that accursed trainer in the basement for 40 minutes. I even threw in some sprints and geared all the way up in the front and all the way down in the back (I put it on the hardest setting) and went at it for a while.

Wednesday, May 18, 2011

Wednesday

So I haven't pigged out for a week. I've actually been pretty good. I ran nothing but hills for 6 miles today. Not fun. Today I weighed 166.5, so I really haven't lost any weight this week. Boo! I guess I'll have to try harder.

Wednesday Running 25 minutes 2 miles (with BIG hills)

Pretty good time for me ;) I think I will try to take it easy the rest of the day since I did so much yesterday.

Edited to add- I also did 1 hour of light yard work.

Tuesday, May 17, 2011

Tuesday Swimming 55 minutes

10 minutes breast stroke
15 minutes freestyle
15 minutes back stroke
5 minutes freestyle (sprints)
5 minutes breast stroke (to cool down gradually)
5 minutes kick board

(I did it a little different tonight because I was not sure I would last that long since I have a cold AND I did some heavy duty yard work for 1 hour today).

Renae Reporting for Duty

I'm still around, but I've just been too lazy to post. I'm still working out, but I've GOT to commit to upping the anti. (Did I spell that right?) I've put on about 10 lbs over the past several months. Not that I'm a huge fatty or anything, but it bugs me, plus my jeans feel tight, and every extra lb is an extra lb that I have to lug around, slowing me down for a race. Plus I've moved up an age division, and believe it or not this age division is harder than the one I just left. I will have to work harder to be competitive.

So here I am AGAIN saying "I'll be good." AGAIN!! (pathetic, I know)

Here's what I did this week:

Tuesday: Ran hills with the group 6 sucky and painful miles

Thursday: Biked 40 minutes on trainer then ran 1.5 miles

Friday: Ran 5.5 miles, the humidity took it's toll, and that 5.5 was hard to finish.

Saturday: Nice, cool, misty day ran 9 miles at a slow, easy pace.

I've also been watching what I eat the past half week. I'm doing pretty well in that field so far. Nothing drastic, just a portion control thing.

Okay we are being painfully honest here: midweek weigh in: 157
Saturday weigh in: 155.5

I am DETERMINED to see the other side of 150 by ... I don't know, my ultimate goal is low 140s. I'm aiming for 4th of July.

Friday, May 13, 2011

Friday Running 2 1/2 miles (with one BIG hill) 35 minutes

I have yet another cursed cold. Die sickness, die die die die.

Plus, did some gardening for 30 minutes.

Thursday Exercise Bike 35 minutes

Plus, 1 hour of gardening and some laundry.

Wednesday, May 11, 2011

Wednesday Running/Walking 2 3/4 mile (with BIG hills) 45 minutes

I had to walk about 3/4 mile total. My right foot was hurting, and my left calf muscle did not want to unclench. Still, since I swam from 8-9pm last night I was glad I was able to run this morning at least that much.

Tuesday, May 10, 2011

Tuesday Swimming 55 minutes

15 minutes breast stroke, 20 minutes back stroke, 15 minutes freestyle, 5 minutes kick board. ALMOST AN HOUR!!! SQUEEE!!!

Also- not much else today. Sick baby wanted to be held all day :(

Monday, May 9, 2011

Monday Exercise Bike + Strength 55 minutes

35 minutes on the exercise bike. Woot! Still holding on to that time. Also, 10 minutes arms (with 10 lb free weights) and 10 minutes of floor abs and standing abs (including 100 crunches).

Also- grocery shopped with 3 kids for 2 hours, plus 1 hour of general housecleaning, and 20 minutes of gardening. Great day!

I realized I have been "slacking" on the duration of my workouts since S was born, and I need to get back into 45-60 minute workouts again. I think mostly it's because my energy is finally coming back and workouts feel GOOD again. Double woot! I missed swimming last week, but I'm hoping to get back into once a week swimming too.

Wednesday, May 4, 2011

Wednesday Running 25 minutes (2 miles with BIG hills)

Plus- I mowed the lawn with our push mower for 1 1/2 hours. I hope all this hard work lets me actually sleep tonight!

Tuesday, May 3, 2011

Tuesday Walking (with kids in the double stroller) 2 1/2 miles 1 hour

Plus, 1 hour of heavy duty gardening (heavy lifting, big shovel work, pulling out tree roots, etc.). What a beautiful day for all the outdoor stuff I was able to do today!

Monday, May 2, 2011

Monday Running/Walking 35 minutes (2 1/2 miles with one BIG hill)

I had to walk about 1/2 mile of that. I was still exhausted from E being out of town for 3 days.

Also- I did some yard work for about 20 minutes.

Thursday, April 28, 2011

Thursday Swimming 45 minutes (WOOT!)

I finally got back to the pool after an 8 month break! Woot! 10 minutes breast stroke, 15 minutes freestyle, 15 minutes backstroke, 5 minutes kick board.

Also- gardening (weeding) 30 minutes.

Wednesday, April 27, 2011

Wednesday Running 25 minutes (2 miles with BIG hills)

I think it was 25 minutes. I looked at the clock wrong before I left, so I'm just guessing going by how fast I felt.

Tuesday, April 26, 2011

Tuesday Walking 1 hour (3 miles)

It might have been slightly more than 3 miles. I was wandering all over getting some "me time" away from the kids.

I also gardened for 30 minutes, grocery shopped for 45 minutes (without kids mwa ha ha ha ha ha, more "me time"), vacuumed, and did laundry all day.

Monday, April 25, 2011

Monday Exercise Bike + Strength (arms+abs) 40 minutes

I was so busy last week! I'm trying to get back up to 5 workouts this week.

Wednesday, April 20, 2011

Wednesday Exercise Bike 35 minutes (with swatting flies exercise)

2 two minute sessions of "swatting flies" chest exercise.

I'm working my way up to 45 minutes in 5 minute increments.

Also- big shovel yard work for 1 hour.

I'm trying to work my way up to my 2-3 hour yard work marathons ;)

Tuesday, April 19, 2011

Monday, April 18, 2011

Monday Running (with one BIG hill) 2 1/4 miles 30 minutes

This run was brought to you by a very supportive husband ;)

With 5 minutes of walking (cool down/warm up). My right ankle was not a happy ankle. I blame the roughness of the speed work on Saturday.

Nothing else done today :p I could not get to sleep until 4am, and I was a total zombie all day.

Saturday, April 16, 2011

Saturday Running/Walking (speed work) 2 miles total 30 minutes

Ran six 1/8 mile sprints. I have not done speed work in maybe a year and a half? The first few sprints were pretty rough, and then I seemed to find my stride/rhythm for the last few.

Also- more organizing closets, laundry, cleaning, and small gardening tasks. 3 hours total.

Friday, April 15, 2011

Friday Exercise Bike 30 minutes (with swatting flies)

With two 2 minute sets of "swatting flies" arm exercises.

Also- 45 minutes of gardening, 1 hour of cleaning and organizing closets/clothes, and four loads of laundry.

Wednesday, April 13, 2011

Wednesday Running 30 minutes 2 1/2 miles (FLATS)

Woot! Still keeping my 12 minute mile (good for me). I'm going to try and hold on to that time for this week and next week, then try to kick it up another notch after that.

Also- some laundry.

Tuesday, April 12, 2011

Tuesday Exercise Bike 30 minutes

And then I cooled down for 10 minutes by vacuuming the downstairs rugs. Not much else today. Hopefully, the laundry marathon/spring cleaning will resume tomorrow when Big E will be home.

Monday, April 11, 2011

Monday Running 2 1/2 miles in 30 minutes (FLATS)

That was an AWESOME time for me. I did not realize how fast I was running until the 2nd mile when my calves really started to ache. The cool breeze of an evening run must have been invigorating me!

Also- the INSANITY continues (according to Liz ha ha). Lots of laundry and moving heavy winter clothes and outgrown clothes down to the basement. I wanted to work in the garden today (I can feel my gardening muscles coming in strong!), but I decided my back could not handle that much fun. ;)

Sunday, April 10, 2011

Saturday Walking with Baby in the Sling 45 minutes (2 miles)

Erik pushed the older kids in the stroller while I carried the baby in the sling.

Also- cleaned and organized closets, drawers, etc. for 3-4 hours.

Friday, April 8, 2011

Friday Running 2 3/4 miles (with BIG hills) 40 minutes

I decided that since I felt like trash today I would just not worry about speed and just get back up to 3 miles as my goal. Goal achieved! Woot!

Edited to add- Also walked around a neighborhood yard sale with the kids for almost 2 hours. Tired now!

I'm Back!!

So, I wanted to take it easy today, so I decided to only do ten minutes. I walked my stairs for 2 min., did abs for 1 min., rinse and repeat for ten minutes. And I almost passed out, so I guess I overdid it. Only ten minutes!! Very frustrating. I was going to do the same thing tomorrow, but I guess I'll have to think of something easier, except I thought I WAS taking it easy!! If I even work out tomorrow, because I'm still all light headed and nauseated. Gr. The Almighty Liz ps I don't know why it won't let me put my signature on a different line. Curse blogger!!

Wednesday Walking with Kids 45 minutes (2 miles)

I was pushing two kids in the double stroller the whole time.

Also- moving dirt with the big shovel and planting seeds for 1 hour. I'm not sure which was the harder workout, the walking with kids or the heavy gardening.

Tuesday Walking 1 hour (2 - 2 1/2 miles?) with two kids in a double stroller

Plus, I repaired a fence, a gate, and a child's bike. I also helped two kids learn how to ride bikes for 1/2 hour while holding a baby. I am so pooped.

I was going to plant things today, but it will have to wait until tomorrow.
