Also- gardening (weeding) 30 minutes.

Wednesday Running 25 minutes (2 miles with BIG hills)

I think it was 25 minutes. I looked at the clock wrong before I left, so I'm just guessing going by how fast I felt.

Tuesday Walking 1 hour (3 miles)

It might have been slightly more than 3 miles. I was wandering all over getting some "me time" away from the kids.

I also gardened for 30 minutes, grocery shopped for 45 minutes (without kids mwa ha ha ha ha ha, more "me time"), vacuumed, and did laundry all day.

Monday Exercise Bike + Strength (arms+abs) 40 minutes

I was so busy last week! I'm trying to get back up to 5 workouts this week.

Wednesday Exercise Bike 35 minutes (with swatting flies exercise)

2 two minute sessions of "swatting flies" chest exercise.

I'm working my way up to 45 minutes in 5 minute increments.

Also- big shovel yard work for 1 hour.

I'm trying to work my way up to my 2-3 hour yard work marathons ;)

Monday Running (with one BIG hill) 2 1/4 miles 30 minutes

This run was brought to you by a very supportive husband ;)

With 5 minutes of walking (cool down/warm up). My right ankle was not a happy ankle. I blame the roughness of the speed work on Saturday.

Nothing else done today :p I could not get to sleep until 4am, and I was a total zombie all day.

Saturday Running/Walking (speed work) 2 miles total 30 minutes

Ran six 1/8 mile sprints. I have not done speed work in maybe a year and a half? The first few sprints were pretty rough, and then I seemed to find my stride/rhythm for the last few.

Also- more organizing closets, laundry, cleaning, and small gardening tasks. 3 hours total.

Friday Exercise Bike 30 minutes (with swatting flies)

With two 2 minute sets of "swatting flies" arm exercises.

Also- 45 minutes of gardening, 1 hour of cleaning and organizing closets/clothes, and four loads of laundry.

Wednesday Running 30 minutes 2 1/2 miles (FLATS)

Woot! Still keeping my 12 minute mile (good for me). I'm going to try and hold on to that time for this week and next week, then try to kick it up another notch after that.

Also- some laundry.

Tuesday Exercise Bike 30 minutes

And then I cooled down for 10 minutes by vacuuming the downstairs rugs. Not much else today. Hopefully, the laundry marathon/spring cleaning will resume tomorrow when Big E will be home.

Monday Running 2 1/2 miles in 30 minutes (FLATS)

That was an AWESOME time for me. I did not realize how fast I was running until the 2nd mile when my calves really started to ache. The cool breeze of an evening run must have been invigorating me!

Also- the INSANITY continues (according to Liz ha ha). Lots of laundry and moving heavy winter clothes and outgrown clothes down to the basement. I wanted to work in the garden today (I can feel my gardening muscles coming in strong!), but I decided my back could not handle that much fun. ;)

Saturday Walking with Baby in the Sling 45 minutes (2 miles)

Erik pushed the older kids in the stroller while I carried the baby in the sling.

Also- cleaned and organized closets, drawers, etc. for 3-4 hours.

Friday Running 2 3/4 miles (with BIG hills) 40 minutes

I decided that since I felt like trash today I would just not worry about speed and just get back up to 3 miles as my goal. Goal achieved! Woot!

Edited to add- Also walked around a neighborhood yard sale with the kids for almost 2 hours. Tired now!

I'm Back!!

So, I wanted to take it easy today, so I decided to only do ten minutes. I walked my stairs for 2 min., did abs for 1 min., rinse and repeat for ten minutes. And I almost passed out, so I guess I overdid it. Only ten minutes!! Very frustrating. I was going to do the same thing tomorrow, but I guess I'll have to think of something easier, except I thought I WAS taking it easy!! If I even work out tomorrow, because I'm still all light headed and nauseated. Gr. The Almighty Liz ps I don't know why it won't let me put my signature on a different line. Curse blogger!!

Wednesday Walking with Kids 45 minutes (2 miles)

I was pushing two kids in the double stroller the whole time.

Also- moving dirt with the big shovel and planting seeds for 1 hour. I'm not sure which was the harder workout, the walking with kids or the heavy gardening.

Tuesday Walking 1 hour (2 - 2 1/2 miles?) with two kids in a double stroller

Plus, I repaired a fence, a gate, and a child's bike. I also helped two kids learn how to ride bikes for 1/2 hour while holding a baby. I am so pooped.

I was going to plant things today, but it will have to wait until tomorrow.

Monday Exercise Bike + Arm Strength 40 minutes

Exercise Bike- 30 minutes, arm strength- 10 minutes.

Also- cleaned the kitchen and did some light grocery shopping.

Saturday, April 2, 2011

Saturday Running 35 minutes (2 1/4 mile with one BIG hill)

I walked about 1/2 mile in there.

Also- went shopping with three kids. I was hoping to get some yard work done, but I ran out of steam.

Martial arts 3/30 and 3/31

QQ had another meltdown. :( She's girlier earlier than I thought. QQ was wearing a denim pull over jumper dress and Sorsha was sleeping upstairs, so I could not get her a t-shirt. Man solution: I go downstairs grab one of V's t-shirts and I am good to go. OH MY GOSH! How dumb was I? The whole changing into her uniform was a crying mess. She just sat and did not participate hardly at all. On the bright side, she does not actually say that she does not want to do martial arts.

Vance did good. We practiced front kicks and stomping punches. We also talked about the martial arts that make up Kajukenbo. (KArate, JUdo and Jujitsu, KENpo and Chinese BOxing.)

Tonight in the regular martial arts class, we moved through the three dimensions culminating in something very near to this w/more reaction from the person being hit. Plus, we were adding tripping and leg buckling moves. Silly will fun fun.

Well ladies. See you again next week. Keep at.
