So Far This Week

I forgot to post the past couple of days!  Whoops!
Monday was just a weigh-in, and I didn't gain, but I didn't lose either.  Still at 129.  I also saw my cardiologist that day, and he is Very Pleased with me.  He told me that if all of his patients did exactly what he told them to do, he'd be out of business, and a super happy retiree!  Lol!  He's excited about my doing the triathlon, and wanted to know all about that.  My blood pressure is great, and my heart rate is actually down, which is also fabulous.  It was a great visit!  I love making him happy because he's super cute when you make his day.  ;)
Yesterday I did my 1.5 loop run, and this time I did freaking awesome!  I hardly walked at all!  I estimate that I did about 4/5 run and 1/5 walk.  I also did it in 20 minutes!  As soon as I can run the whole thing, I'll start adding distance which will add time.  I really like my cardio workouts to be at least 30 minutes.  Maybe I can ride my exercise bike for ten minutes after I get home or something.
Today I did my machine for 30 minutes, and I'm doing a lot better on that too.  I could have pushed it to more time, but my legs are uber sore from yesterday.  I can definitely tell that I need to work on my bike skills.  Totally different set of muscles that need a lot more working out. 
On the up side, dude, I'm getting muscle tone in my legs!  My calves have been pretty awesome for several months (dancing will do that), but I noticed that my thighs are a lot more toned and my bootie is less saggy.  Score!

Not Much to Report

I forgot to post yesterday, but I don't have much to tell you.  I didn't work out because my leg still hurts quite a bit (although getting better today), and then I started my girly time, so it will be a couple of days before I work out again.
However, I did weigh in yesterday.  I forgot to log that last week.  I broke 130 last week!  No good!  So, I started Weight Watchers counting last week, and I'm down a pound at yesterday's weigh in.  And of course, with the girly time, I'm hoping I'm down a lot more this Monday, because I have a cardiologist appointment, and the last time I saw him it was 35 lbs ago.  I'd really like to get closer to the 40 I HAD lost, just to wow him, lol!

Saturday

I did my 1.5 loop in 20-25 min.  It was a lot harder though.  My left inner quad is really hurting (I think I pulled it or something on Wednesday's run), and my right ankle is hurting (that started yesterday with Jillian). 
Next week I'll probably do a lot more biking or the machine, and dial back on the running until my legs are totally fit again.  I'm trying to find a pool to swim at as well.

I went for a 1 hour, 3 mile walk with Bronx today.  All the way to John's work!  Veeeeery proud of myself there.
I also did 25 min Jillian 30 Day Shred.

Thursday

I did my hour of Zumba today!  And it was super awesome because A: the instructor kicked it up a couple of notches, and B: there was a girl there who was REALLY good.  It was almost like she was giving us the advanced versions of everything.  Like, the instructor did the beginner to intermediate, and this girl did the advanced.  It ROCKED. :D

Wednesday

So, I didn't do anything yesterday.  It was a bad day.  But I put on my big girl panties today, and got out there.
I ran 1.5 miles, but instead of 30 minutes, it took me 25, and I ran a lot more of it, about 3/4 instead 2/3.  I'm improving!  Yay me! :D
And oh my gosh, is 40 degrees so much better than 22!!

Starting Off the Week Right!

So, I just want everyone to know that I'm taking filling in for Timpani seriously.  :D
Today I ran 30 minutes, the same route as Saturday, so 1.5 miles, only backwards.  It mixed the hills up a little.  Uphill to start, and downhill and level to finish today, instead of the other way around.  I liked this way better. ;)  Did I mention it was 22 degrees out when I ran today?  Because it was TWENT-TWO DEGREES OUT when I ran today.  I have GOT to get me some long spandex, because oi!  And I took Bronx with me.  The first half of the run he was being difficult, but the second half he was learning and it was easier.  :P

3 Days

Okay, so remember I did Jillian's 30 Day Shred?  Well, I hurt myself a little bit.  I went to Zumba on Thursday, and when I got back, I couldn't really move my left arm.  Yesterday, I couldn't move it at all, nor could I grasp anything with my left hand.  My right hurt too, but not nearly as bad as my left.  So I didn't do much yesterday. 
Thursday I did an hour of Zumba
Friday I went on a 15 minute walk with Bronx, but the whole family went, and John held the leash because I couldn't.
Today I ran 1.5 miles in half an hour.  It was about 2/3 running and 1/3 walking.  That's the longest I've been able to run so far!  And the best ratio of running to walking!  Go me!
And my arm is better today.  Still very sore and tender, but I can move it, and pick up light things.  :)

Tuesday & Wednesday (various)

I deep cleaned a few hours yesterday, and did lots of stock up shopping today (another couple of hours, with a toddler). I think I'm ready for Friday (my c-section)! I want to take a walk in this nice weather, and hopefully I can do that tomorrow. One last taste of freedom before I can't do anything for like 6-8 weeks. Boo!

Wednesday

I did a very brisk 45 minute walk with Bronx.
I also did a 25ish minute workout with Jillian's 30 day shred.  OMGoodness, I think I'm going to die.

Catching Up

Okay, so, as everyone knows, I got sick.  Like, way sick.  The middle of last week was the first time I felt anything like normal, so that blows.  Set me back big time when I can't afford setbacks, so I'll just have to hit it super hard from here on out. 
So, as I was thinking, dang, I haven't been working out nearly often enough!, it occurred to me that I actually have been getting little workouts in everyday.  I've been walking my dog, lol!  I do it most days, sometimes John does it.  When I walk him it's between 15-30 minutes. 
Last Wednesday I did 15 minutes bike/elliptical.  That was my first back-from-sick workout, and it SUCKED.
Thursday I went to Zumba for an hour.  I did just fine there, but everyone was back from vacation and working out for the first time, including the instructor, so it was pretty light, for Zumba.
Friday I walked the dog very briskly for 30 minutes.
(I'm not going to put down every time I walk Bronx, just the times that were good workouts for me, instead of just kind of...easy workouts)
Yesterday, Monday, I did 20 minutes bike/elliptical.
Today I did 20 minutes of running.  I'm not sure how far I went, and I did about 50% of it walking.  I tried to figure it out on google maps, and if I got it close, it was about 1 1/3 miles, so that's not bad, considering the ground I lost while I was sick! 
Weight-wise, I still have about 3ish lbs to lose of holiday weight.  Which sucks because that last little bit is always the hardest to get off.  *le sigh*  Nothing for it but to work my bootie off!  (pun intended, lol!)
