Friday Swimming 30 minutes

I did 5 laps freestyle, 5 laps back stroke, 5 laps freestyle, 5 laps mixing it all up (20 laps total). I also worked on my car and house for about 2 hours today and my upper body is TRASHED. I'm dieting this week and I have not lost a single pound. I'm feeling very murderous about it ;)

Thursday Running 3 1/2 miles (44 minutes)

I took the longer route this time to make sure and get 3 1/2 (I will get 4 again soon for my short runs! I will!). I also got up early, to make that twice this week. Go me! I'm pretty proud of myself when I do the early days. I'm also pretty tired on those days too though. The older kids are off school tomorrow, so I get to sleep in tomorrow. Woot!

I definitely think I got 3 1/2 miles this times because the rain made me have to cross over the road about a dozen times. I also got up early AND ran in the rain. BECAUSE I RULE BABY!

That was slower than last week, but I added some more back stroke laps so I'm happy with the time altogether.

It went 10 laps freestyle, 5 laps back stroke, 10 laps freestyle, 5 laps back stroke, 5 laps freestyle.

Tuesday Running 3+ miles (38 minutes)

I think I got maybe 3 1/4 to 3 1/2 miles? I was running pretty fast for me. The roads were icy! I was a little scared in some places. I finally bought a reflective vest so I felt safer running in the road without getting creamed.

I did 5 sets of 10 push ups again (50 push ups). I felt pretty good. I'm still extra tired from the antibiotics though. I remember now why I put off getting on antibiotics for so long!

Thursday Running 3 1/2ish miles (40 minutes)

I also ran errands with kids all day. I had to take two little children to Walgreen's Take Care Clinic to finally get on some antibiotics for this stupid sinus infection.

Yesterday on my "rest day" I installed a new wing mirror and took out an old bathroom sink/faucet. My upper body is pretty sore from all that (about 2 1/2 hours total).

Disaster, Will Robinson!

Well, the week started off decent.  I weighed on Monday, and hadn't lost, but didn't gain, and my girly time is coming any minute, so I'm totally fine with that.  I went to Zumba on Monday, and it was a totally awesome workout.  I planned on going to Zumba yesterday as well, but...I freaking fell down and wrecked my hip a bit, and broke my toe in a most spectacular fashion.  Second worst break I've ever had.  So, that's it for working out for at least four weeks, and maybe six.  Depends on how fast I heal, and we all know that isn't very.
BUT, I won't slack off in the losing weight department.  I am determined to get to my goal of 25, or until I fit into my skinny clothes, whichever comes first.  I might be disqualified from the weight loss challenge, I'm waiting to find out, but even if I am, I will not lose my resolve!
(Besides, I'm not going to have much to do for awhile.  I can't put any weight at all on this currently, and it's my right foot, so I won't be able to drive for a good long time.  >:(   I might as well turn my whole focus on eating right. :P )

Stupid blogger ate my post from yesterday! I did 5 sets of 10 pushups yesterday (50 total), so I though soreness from that would slow me down today. NOPE! I did awesome today. Now, tomorrow.... ;)

Saturday Trail Running 1 hour

I also did a longer cool down (15 minutes). Powder snow is much harder to run in then packed snow! I did not realize that until I was about 40 minutes into the run (the way back). My hip is fine, but I think me and my groin muscles are going to have to skip the Jillian Michaels this week and stick to lower impact exercises.

Crazy Week

This week has been a week of minor injuries.  I'm fine now, but I had to nurse a couple of things for a couple of days.  I fell down the stairs.  I twisted my knee (a little), slightly stretched a muscle in my back, and wrenched my shoulder pretty good.
However, only little things, so I was feeling good by yesterday.  I went to Zumba!  She had to cancel class on Tuesday due to weather, so she had a special 2 HOUR class yesterday!  It was awesome and felt great.  I slept really hard this morning, completely missing getting the kids ready for school (John did it and let me sleep because he's a-m-a-z-i-n-g).  Knee only twinged a bit, back is fine, and shoulder is sore.  Overall, totally okay.
Weighed in Monday by myself, and yesterday at Zumba, and have lost 2.2 lbs!  So far, that's 7 since the beginning of January.  :D
Also this week, I had a cardiologist appt that went really well!  No increase in scar tissue, very little leakage and overall the heart looks good.  My doc didn't like that I had gained weight, but I told him I had already lost some, so he's confident that I have it under control.  He also wants me to go from working out 1-2x a week to at least 3, and he'd be happier with 4-5.  So I'll make those necessary changes.  I brought him pics of me at the finish line of a 5k and the triathlon, and he LOVED that!  :D  It was overall a good check up.

Saturday Running 1 hour (5 miles)

I RAN 5 MILES IN AN HOUR, IN THE RAIN!! I opted for pavement today because I figured the rain would turn the trail into one big muddy slip n slide.
