Thursday MA Classes (2 /12 hours)

Women's class- hand grab- grab fingers and grab up from underneath (two hands). Also, from headlock- lift up, straighten spine, dig your hips under and control their body (or throw their body).

wrestling class- hi-c to single leg, to tree top, running the pipe, to double leg.

nogi class- achilles locks and achilles lock (cross leg) to lancashire lock.

Under bar pull ups, chair push ups, chair dips, dead lifts, sumo dead lifts, back squats and calf raises. Shorter workout since not feeling well since yesterday.

Tuesday MA Classes (3 hours)

Wrestling class- throws on the mat. Throw from head control, drop down, get him in hi-c, lift up, throw. Like a reverse fireman's carry, except across your front.

Sub wrestling class- working kimura to dorsal lock, to one hand pull back. Also worked kimura, they shoot hand under your leg, then you scoop up their arm with your leg, and get them with kimura and reverse triangle, or upside triangle (with their face right in your crotch). 

Rolled with DW, NM, and Ryan T.

Tuesday Trail Running (1 hour)

#4 trail. Only a little wet. 45-50 degrees, nice weather.

Monday MA Gi Class (2 hours)

Worked on arm bar from closed guard on your back, if arm slips, go to omaplata, if they posture up, go to triangle.

20 minutes chess. Chess with YH and MT

25 minutes live rolling. Rolled with DW, KS, and WK. Actually jumped guard on WK (he's 6'3 and 215, so really strong).

First ever nip slip while rolling with WK. Took off my gi top because WK was in nogi attire, and was wearing a tank with a sports bra. Not good enough for rolling with a big strong guy. Had to tell him to stop so I could fix my top. Also- jumped guard on WK from standing in nogi. Only time I've jumped guard without being picked up before (by DH). Also jumped guard while WK in a kneeling position (in the same roll).

Monday Lifting/Bodyweight Training (1 hour 45 minutes)

Added more front and back squats at 60 lbs - 3 sets of 10-12.

Skipped rolls.

Friday Open Mat (90 minutes)

Hard rolling for 90 minutes. Tapped out Ryan M with a "khabib choke". Tapped out KS with an armbar. Rolled with Jon W twice (really good tall skinny blue belt). Rolled with Dan S and learned more about wrist locks. Rolled with Ian from HS again. He was there visiting. Only person I rolled nogi with. All the other rolls were in the gi.

Thursday Lifting/Bodyweight Training (90 minutes)

Skipped rolls, abs, and yoga. Might do it later. Added in some burner sets of back squats for hypertrophy at 60 lbs (while still doing the heavier front and back squats at 120lbs). Also added in some kicking and elbow strike practice.

Tuesday MA Classes (2 1/2 hours)

Wrestling class- russian tie to inside trip

nogi class- russian tie to inside trip to various other things.Holding on to the inside trip- to half nelson on same arm and inside wrist control to cradle or to surfboard kind of shoulder stack. Also- inside arm granby to escape like NM SR showed before to get out of belly down.

Also- 40 minutes hard rolling with DW, BB, NM jr, NM, and KS

Monday MA Training (2 hours)

Worked on sweeps from side mount. Trap the arm, bridge the hips, wait for them to push into you, then throw them over. Also, get your hooks in like butterfly, but pull their arm across, grab the belt, then sweep them over. Also worked on the sweep where you get someone in beef wellington from the bottom position, then push their head away far enough while bridging the hips that they sort of roll forward while you still trap the arm.

Skipped rolls. Did everything else, just faster because of time constraints.

Thursday MA Classes (3 hours)

Women's class- elbow block, to body lock, to pressure into them driving for either wall slam or them pushing back into you for a step aside take down.

Wrestling class- worked  a lot on sprawls on top of shooting (for a takedown). Also worked on when someone has you in bear hug from the back, thrust out with your hip and lean back with your shoulder, but widen your legs for base, at the same time push down with both hands on there one hand.

Advanced nogi- worked on shooting imanari rolls to between the legs for a take down straight to saddle, or saddle takedown.

Gi class tonight. 45 minutes drilling, 45 minutes rolling, mostly with ZK. Worked on collar arm grab to collar leg sweep of leg to take down. Then armbar on ground, or side mount, or double wrist lock. Also worked on wrist lock or figure 4 from standing.
