Friday Walking with the kids 1 hour

On the watershed trail again. For about 20 minutes of that walk, I was holding a tired toddler who had missed her nap. 

Also- 5 hours of yard sales with kids and taking the kids swimming for an hour. This will probably wrap up yard sale season for the most part. Sigh. I am dog tired now though. Wow!

Thursday Running 40 minutes

I am so tired today! I did the lower part of the watershed trail which is 1/2 paved and 1/2 mud/grass. I think running and making some huge batches of rice is all I will get done today. I did way too much yesterday! In my defense, I did not realize I was going to be able to go swimming last night, lol.

With 10 lb free weights. I want to go swimming, but my pool closes when there is lightning outside. Stupid rule!

Plus- spending an hour under my kitchen sink last night trying to fix a leaky drain. Yuckiest job E-VER!

Monday Running 50 minutes

I started out on the paved trail, then a dirt trail, then a gravel trail, and then backwards order on the way back.

Also- cooking a bunch of stuff ahead of time to freeze for after the baby is born. I walked for an hour yesterday too in between a wedding and a reception. Lovely day for a walk!

Monday Weigh-In

So, I started my girly time last night.  That means I'll have TWO low weeks in a row!!  GRRRRR.  And this is going to be a bad one, I can tell already.  I could tell two weeks ago, even.  Not good.  But it's only a week!  Then I'll hit the ground as soon as I can running hard, and make up for the lost time.  Thank goodness I got that run in on Saturday!!
I weighed in this morning with much trepidation, as last week not only did I not get to work out except for one day, I was also completely off the rails diet-wise.  I weighed in at 127, so not nearly as bad as I was thinking, especially considering I started my cycle, which means I'm retaining water.
Now, I'm off to curl up under a nice, warm blanket and die.

Saturday Trail Running 1 hour

Omigosh! The nicest day for running E-VER! 

Also- yesterday did yard saling and grocery shopping with a 2 year old.

This Week in the Trenches

I was sick all week.  It sucked.  I weighed in at 125 and a half or 126 on Monday (the scale was ambiguous), which put me at 1 pound or less from my goal!  One more week of work and I would be FINISHED!  Then I got sick, and I'm positive I gained weight this week, I just don't know how much.  I HATE setbacks.  Grrrrrr.
Today, since I woke up feeling much better, I went for a run.  I took John and the kids with me to my little 1 mile Shaw trail loop.  I did it in 23 minutes, which is not better than last time since I did a mile and a half last time in 24 minutes, but I'll take it.  I did do more running this time, more like 2/3 of it then 1/2 running.  I did almost all of the first half running, so that was cool. 
Here's to hoping this next week will be awesome!

It was less than 40 minutes, but I don't remember the exact time. So, pretty fast for pregnant with a cold. Too tired today to do anything else! I hope this cold dies soon :P

Saturday Trail Running 1 hour

Woot! Nice cool cloudy day for trail running!


Didn't do anything yesterday or Thursday because I didn't sleep well and was just tiiiiiired.  I need to learn to push through that. 
Today I biked to the pool and back, total 4 miles in 50 min.  I did take a break because I biked to a Girl Scout parent meeting.  I'm pretty sure I can't do 4 miles with no breaks, but I'll get there! :D

Friday JM 30 Day shred Workout 2 (25 minutes)

With 10 lb free weights. I did mostly the "low impact" version of the moves she gives you.

Also-yard saleing with a grumpy two year old for two hours.

Plus- changing the light fixture for my porch light. That only took me about 5 years to finally get around to. It took an hour because the replacement fixture was so heavy it kept falling while I was trying to wire it ;) Ouch, my arms are tired now!

Today I did 5 min bike, 5 min elliptical alternates, no breaks in between for 40 MINUTES.  And I felt really good doing it!  Very strong!  Say what?!  That's right!  Liz is BACK IN THE HOUSE!  BOOYAH!

Tuesday Running 3 miles (40 minutes)

This cold is starting to let go, but I still took a 3 hour nap today, lol. I hope it only lasts a few more days because I am a huge baby when I have a cold! 

Also- one hour of putting away and organizing older kids clothes.


Hey ladies!
So, Saturday and Monday I didn't really get anything in.  Well, Saturday me and John and my kids and Mary's kids all went for a hike, so that's something, I guess. ;)
I weighed in yesterday and have lost another pound!  I'm at 127 and TWO pounds from my goal!!  I'll tell you, I am STOKED. 
Today I went for a run at Shaw.  I did a mile loop trail, except that when I got to my second gate (they have a big fence to keep the deer out of the places they don't want them), it was locked.  So I started walking along the fence back to the first gate.  When it became apparent that wouldn't work, I walked back, only to find that I had been looking in the wrong place for the gate opening!!  WHOOPS!  So I added about 1/2 a mile accidentally.  I did probably a little more the 1/2 a mile of that running, the last part to my car I sprinted (worked off a little frustration at adding 1/2 a mile when I was literally half a football field from my car, grr), which was probably ten yards or so.  The good news?  I ran this in 24 minutes, and when I did a mile on vacation, it took me 45 minutes!!  I'm also not hurting as much this time, just my left ankle.  That's the leg I broke, and it's significantly weaker than my right leg, so that doesn't surprise me, although I probably won't run again this week to allow it time to heal up and therefore be stronger for next time. 
I felt so much stronger running this time, and I know I had a pretty stellar week last week, too.  I am feeling GOOD!!

Monday JM 30 Day Shred Workout 2 (25 minutes)

With 10 lb free weights. I was going to swimming, but this cold is kicking my trash. I needed a "hot workout" to warm up my lungs.

Plus, cleaning and organizing my toddler's clothing for about 2 hours. On to big kids clothes tomorrow!

Thursday Trail Running 1 hour

The trail was wet, but only really muddy in a few small places. Perfect! I was a little nervous because my mom (who was watching S) made me carry her cell phone, so that made ME paranoid, lol. I just kept repeating my new mantra- "I'm not alone in the woods with some attacker, he's alone in the woods with ME!" Anyway, it made me smile the whole run.

I did 65 minutes of strength training.  I was able to not only up my reps, but add another set as well.  My cycle was ball lower abs, bicep curls, ball sit-ups, triceps, ball obliques, ball quads, ball lower back, leg lifts (although I only did two sets for that one), shoulders (two cans of broth, 14.5 oz each, bring the cans straight out to your sides, the curl your arms in, and lift the cans straight up, then back the way you came, it's really hard), ball hamstrings/butt.  I forgot to put calves in there, so I'll do that next week.  I am quivery and shaky, and that's a good sign that I worked everything out enough.  I expect to be ridiculously sore tomorrow.  :D

The Weekend

Good morning ladies!  (don't I sound chipper?  basically the exact opposite of how I actually feel in the morning, lol!)
So, last Friday I didn't do anything.  There was too much going on. 
Saturday, John and I went running.  That's right, actual feet on the pavement running.  With hills!!  Two things were immediately apparent; 1. I am in better shape than I thought.  I did two legs of running with walking in between.  I ran about half a mile and walked half a mile.  That was way more than I thought I'd be able to do!  So go me.  2. My current shoes are not going to cut it.  I run on the inside of my feet because my ankles have always been a little deformed, and my ankles and one of my hips are STILL killing me because of the way my shoes fit.  So, I'll have to figure out how to remedy that soon.  It may be awhile, we're broke.  *sigh*
Sunday, of course, nothing. 
Monday, I ran the treadmill at the hotel.  I didn't feel like doing hills, and there was no exercise bike.  There was a mirror set up right in from of the treadmill, so I got a good look at how I run, and my suspicions were right, I run on the inside of my feet.  I ran, walked, ran, walked, ran, walked for over a mile.  And I am sooooooore. 
But the hotel had a hot tub, and that made it a LOT better, lol!
I also weighed in this morning, and despite the fact that I didn't keep track AT ALL on vacation and pretty much just went to town eating whatever, I didn't gain anything.  Also, right before we left, I'm packing, and I found a couple of Everest Clothes.  (you know, clothes that are my Mt. Everest, as in, the ones that are the skinniest and have the least forgiving fit)  AND THEY FIT.  I couldn't believe it, I'm back in my Everest clothes!!  The pants fit a little differently because I think I've now got some extra skin that I didn't before I gained all that weight so fast that isn't going to go away, but I didn't have to squeeze into them or anything, they just fit!  I.  Feel.  AWESOME.
