Another Reason to Hate Winter

I dragged myself out of bed at 4:30 this morning to go running with my group. No one was there. It's too cold outside. How I wish all the groups met together still; I might have had someone to run with. I drove around town looking for anyone in our other branches running. All I saw were too of the fast men. I didn't want to drag them down, so I just went home and tried in vain to go back to sleep. So disappointed!

I ran the stairs for 40 minutes just now. Oh well. I am all sweaty, so I guess the day isn't a loss.

Well, all I can say is it is time to break out that imaginary friend. When nobody else can go with you, you just have to make up your own company. Another plus is that you can't outrun them and they can't outrun you. Don't let the fact that no one else is running deter you from your workout.

It's not that, I totally would have run by myself, except for the fact that it's dark out at 5 am. I don't feel safe to run by myself in the dark. I'm afraid of the boogey man.

The boogeyman?

Renae you are totally not the type that rapists and kidnappers target, just so you know. Short women, especially Asian women, in skirts, with loose hair or hair in braids. When in doubt, make eye contact, that deters attackers.

So, don't go running in a skirt or do a pippy long stocking and you should be ok!

or just carry some mace. i do, lol! seriously, i do. i got followed by some car a couple of weeks ago, and john and i decided that that along with the breaking in attempt spelled "liz needs pepper-spray", and we got some. it's really cool too, it's a gel kind that sticks, and it's also got red dye in it, so you mark your attacker too. anyway, just a thought! (albeit, rather a long one.)
